You don't want mercenaries but are happy to keep N'Doye? He only came here to get to a bigger club, he doesn't give a **** about City.
My thoughts precisely. There is sadly no way Newcastle wont win, never mind us getting the 3 points we need, and we really had all our hopes on Sunderland. As you say, oh well and we can look forward to a much better away calendar next season.
If you think we won't win against ManU, then what Sunderland did (a great performance of survival football - they've had the practice ) was of no consequence. I thought they would go down under Poyet and they would have done; DA is quality and he made the players believe in themselves again - I think he will stay at the club for a year to begin the rebuild. I believe we can beat ManU and that is all that matters, not what Sunderland did or Newcastle will do. UTT
Isnt amazing the way they still talk like they're a major force? 1 league title in 40 years.... Yes it's 1 more than we've won but ****ing 'ell, get over it. We've spent 4 seasons in the Premier League since they were last in it. A more fitting honour to shout about would be the title of worst supported club per head of population.
Or the team that sacked him. I'm staying until he succeeds in changing the name. The sooner Allam goes the better for me, but he's not going to force me out until he removes the name Hull City.
Think Sunderland was our best bet especially as it has given United a glimmer of hope in the last game, so will probably field a full strength team. I saw last night Sunderland had stayed up for their 9th consecutive season. I just don't know ho I could watch my team struggle week in week out for all that time without anything back and simply scrapping for everything. I'll take the championship with some unpredictability any time.
I honestly cannot see Newcastle beating West Ham...The Skunks are in a real mess at this present time and I would be surprised if they even managed a draw. However, it is a big ask for you to beat Man U, but if you do then I believe you will stop up..
I'd rather they play a full strength team. Utd's players have one thing and thing on their minds this weekend - dont get injured for your summer holidays. It is much better to face them than kids with a point to prove in front of the watching world. And this isnt clutching at straws or hindsight, I said it on here over a week ago.
Just like you are in the shadow of Yorkshire's biggest club Sheffield Wednesday. Playing TWS off the park and hearing their few remaining fans in the ground chanting "What the ****ing hell was that?" gave me more pleasure than any of our games in the Premier League. The thought of those most contemptible of people, Hull Whites and East Yorkhire Whites squirming at they watched that was most pleasurable.
Be fair, that would be Rotherham. They will be second. When the TWS were in the PL, if you are old enough to remember that, the FA did a survey on where season ticket holders lived. The team with highest percentage living outside the city wasn't Man Utd, they were third, or even Liverpool who were second, but the TWS.
Ok then, how about them having the honour of being the only champions IN HISTORY to not win a single away game all season when defending their title? Yeah I actually remember that and I dont find it hard to believe. I've lived in Leeds for 16 years and never, I mean never, see people wearing shirts / merchandise yet I see shedloads of people in Rhinos clobber. I honestly believe in the city itself it is much more a rugby than football hotbed.
There was a book written about a football club which started "City had a hard time establishing themselves in a place which had been a rugby league stronghold for years". It was about Leeds. I lived there for awhile when Leeds United were at their peak under Revie. Saw plenty of Leeds scarves then. But never, ever heard a rugby fan hoping the local football club or met someone who supported the rugby team and a football team from another city. We have plenty of people who do those things. With that, councillors who are rugby league biased (Geraghty said Hull was a sporting hotbed as the people don't just love their rugby league they are also keen on darts), a far from supportive local media and a lot of people who only go togamesvto watch the other team no ent to,do so sat in silence and want everyone else to do the same,I sometimes wonder if Hull deserves a Premier League team and all the benefits that brings. I am referring to the city in general not those fans who have gone through thin and thinner with them.
I think it's more that every Leeds team lives in the shadow of the Leeds team of forty to fifty years ago.
It works the other way as well. Hull is just far too insular for its own good, too many small minded people with small minded opinions holding back the city and its sporting teams.
He would also have bonuses guaranteed if we stay up, and only came here for a six month period to move on to a bigger club. Not necessarily a merc, but hardly someone that cares about the club.
