I think we will sign a bit of quality in the Summer. I can see us spending 2 or 3 million on a couple of players each...

Lets hope so Matt but he paid £3m for Delort and he couldn't score a goal but at least from what I have read signs are positive I wouldn't be surprised if McLean was his first signing scored against us last season Martin thought a lot about him

We need 2 strikers with pace who can score and two wingers who have pace and because Redders wouldn't play Ngoyi we don't know whether or not he can replace Austin and of course sign Bamba so I make that 6 players in

Putting my optimist hat on for a moment.....

Can't say I'm excited by Uwe's appointment but nor equally am I disappointed by it. It feels like a realistic appointment. It's def not a Hockaday style appointment and much like the press conference today it feels like it has Pearson's professional influence upon it.

Strange as well that Massivego wasn't there today unveiling his new toy but retaining my optimist hat I'm hoping that was not as some have accused because he was being cowardly about Redfearn but because Pearson is exerting control and influence either ahead of a forthcoming ban or ahead of a takeover.

However the last time I wore my optimist hat was when we'd gone 5 games undefeated in March and then he struck again....

Cellino says; "I'm delighted to name Uwe Rosler as our chief coach, as long as he plays my signings, agrees to my decisions and doesn't try to implement his own ideas on the team, we will get along fine, as long as we are winning".<cheers>

Rosler will be at Thorp Arch next week to start planning pre-season. Pearson: "It'll be planned as Uwe wants it to be done."

Rosler: "In certain areas we have the players (to play 4-3-3). In certain areas we need to add. But not massively." #lufc

Rosler says he likes a 4-3-3 system but also 3-5-2. "That would be plan B." #lufc

Funnily enough, I think 3-5-2 would really suit the players in the squad at the moment.

Cellino signs our players, Rosler won't get a say, Cellino signed us Doukara so say no more about what nearly £2m buys you when you leave it to Cellino ;)

So that's how he got the job <ok>

Newly appointed Leeds United head coach Uwe Rosler has revealed that owner Massimo Cellino has given him assurances over the duties he will carry out while in charge of the club, according to the club's official audioBoom channel.

Indeed, the German will have 'absolute control' over team selection and tactics, while he has also been promised a role in signing players at Elland Road.

Executive director Adam Pearson suggested the Yorkshire club will hire a head of recruitment but Rosler appears confident he will be heavily involved in transfer plans this summer and beyond at Leeds.

Evening. A bit disappointed that Redders has gone, but I think we could have done worse than Rosler. Anyone know what type of footy he plays; hoof or proper?

Have to admit, I do like Pearson. Hopefully he'll be something of a stabilising influence on Cellino.
