14 Everton 28 28 15 Hull 29 28 16 Aston Villa 29 28 17 Sunderland 29 26 18 Burnley 29 25 19 QPR 29 22 20 Leicester 28 19 I think it's all tightening up but for the life of me I cannot see qpr or Leicester surviving So the reality right now is everton down are now within 3 points of the drop
Now, we are looking at Hull City and Newcaste United. Newcastle must match Hull's result otherwise they are down.
my view is this: "So......... all in all right now leicester have to be favorites, QPR need to do all their work at home... hull look bad... then i'd add sunderand and burnley as most likely but would still feel palace might be in there.... in other words a 1/3rd of the prem are in danger." jan 12th Leicester have pulled off an amazing run. Lets put it in context. astro was boasting about our run from January on with was a good run.. well Leicester produced as good a run and saved themsevles QPR did look bad and what i said about hull proved true.. they looked like it had all gone tits up under bruce when they gave him a new deal as so it proved. sunderland still in it And poor burnley, could defend as i said but struggled badly for goals. palace have really done well under pardew.
Hope Newcastle go down because they absolutely deserve it as they've been abject for week after week plus their owner is am A1 knobhead and it would be hilarious to see another team he's involved with languishing down the tables. #sorrythetruegeordie Hull will though.
Some permutations which assume Sunderland secure at least a point in their game in hand: Hull lose: Hull relegated Hull draw: Hull relegated Hull win and Newcastle lose: Newcastle relegated Hull win by at least 8 goals and Newcastle draw: Newcastle relegated Hull win by less than 8 goals and Newcastle draw: Hull relegated I somehow can't see Hull putting 8 goals past Man U at OT It's conceivable they could scrap for a narrow win and hope for Newcastle to lose. Depends on Man U's approach to the match - they have nothing to play for they cannot go higher or lower than 4th place. Maybe some younger/less used players will play for Man U on the day.
Bottom of the premiership: 16 Sunderland 37 goal diff -20 17 Newcastle Utd 36 goal diff -25 18 Hull City 34 goal diff -18 #If Sunderland can get a point tonight they are likely to be safe. Perm any one from three.
I don't particularly like any of the three under threat but I want to see Newcastle go down because of Mike Ashley.
