So there was a team from Hull (without Hull in their name), changed their name to Hull and then moved out of Hull, sounds simple really. Oh yeah, when was the last time you drove from Dunswell to Hull City Centre

Dene Park to Hull city centre is 4.5 miles, it's next door to Orchard Park and Kingswood ffs.

and you could drive it in 5 mins!!!!!! It takes me over 30 mins each way and that's on a good day. And it doesn't matter how far away it is, it still isn't in Hull

The last United home game, though I don't know why that's relevant.

It really is simple. If you want to call it a name change and ground change, as well as all the other changes, that's fine. I'd call it a complete club change. The new club needed a proper ground to house 500+ people. There aren't many in the area are there? I don't suppose they'd have had much choice of location. Be interesting to see if they have to move or expand if they do get a few promotions. Dene Park isn't in a great condition now.

Unfortunately I don't see safe standing coming back in the near future
Especially with the Hillsborough inquiry going on

It's already here, Bristol City installed safe standing a year ago...

It's only a matter of time before it's rolled out elsewhere.

The SPL have already authorised it and Celtic were due to install it last year, but their application was rejected by their Safety Advisory Group, though they didn't actually give a reason for rejecting it, they just thought it was too big a decision for them to approve and wanted government guidance.

They were in League 1 at the time so they could have had normal terracing as well.

The Football League voted for the introduction of Safe Standing in the Championship last year.

I think it is in the new stand, but they're not actually using it for football matches yet, at the moment they're just using it for rugby. They're trying to get clarification/approval to use it for Bristol City games, even if it's just on a trial basis, but I don't think they've managed it yet.

No he doesn't. He buys bog standard machinery and bolts it together. Tens if not hundreds of other companies do the same.

What Allam has is an effective business network to help sell his bog standard generator sets. It makes a man wonder just what his unique selling point is.

I thought his USP was that he held large stocks and could deliver to anywhere in the world within a matter of days?

What power do you refer to? There are scores of low power generator sets available from stock; and I dare say hundreds of Caterpillar dealers can deliver a 750 kW set anywhere in the world in a short time. My guess is that Allam Marine is a very effective at sales and marketing, with all it entails.

No idea, I just had it in the back of my mind that one of the reasons for their success was that they could deliver generators to disaster zones very quickly and could supply large orders in a very short space of time, but I've no idea where I've got that from.

Caterpillar can do that blindfolded and with both hands tied behind their backs.

Safe standing can't come back as it has not been tried here. Meanwhile 27,000 Borussia Dortmund fans stand behind one goal with no problems, waving huge flags which wouldn't be allowed here, making a row with various items that wouldn't be allowed here, and, horror of horrors, drinking beer.
Aren't you glad we don't have any of that sort of thing going on here! It would mystify that fan of ours who wonders why fans want to make a noise although he concedes it may encourage the team.
