My view is if he does a tony adams he is a fool. he should, if he is really serious, work on coaching at a much lower level and not jump at assistant manager for us or worse manager at a lower club. I think he's going to be what 37 coming to it.. I wuold say 5 years minimum as a coach at under age before making step up to seniors then the nice thing is nobody he shared a dressing room will be around.
I'd say he either needs to drop down to a lower club to learn his trade or work his way up from within the club, don't just make him a coach or assistant with the view of him being the next manager.
The later. Look at Pep, went and worked with the youth team at Barca, developed his coaching skills and relationship there out of the spotlight and then moved up from within. Let them make their mistakes in a less pressurised environment.
