Assuming that, at time of writing it hasn't been confirmed, Ian Hendon does join West Ham and his job role is based around getting the youth players ready for the step up to the first team, again another assumption on my part going by what I have read and what my interpretation is, this could be very beneficial to us. West Ham have a history of bringing through good youth players and part of their development would undoubtedly be going out on loan to get some first team experience. Assuming once again that He has left on good terms this could see us in line for some very good young players? Bit like when Defoe went to Bournemouth a decade or so ago and scored in all those consecutive games. Any thoughts?
Yeah might get a few on loan and also we will get a bit of compensation for him, so overall it is good.
Gemini - good thread, never thought of Hendon's departure being beneficial in that way, mind you I have to be careful what I say, some fans on other boards, might not be to happy if I start saying West Ham have got some very good player's!
Remember I'm not talking about their first team being any good. Just that they have a good history when it comes to bringing through good quality youth players. I'm sure mighty will forgive you though. Lol
If football manager is anything to go by then west ham always has some decent players to loan to the lower leagues sitting in the reserves, so this could work out even if my source isn't that reliable
