They chose a name that they could market better than St Andrews. Other teams look at them as the rich kids flashing the cash.

It's marketing. No ifs or buts. The debate is whether that's good or bad. Other teams in the leagues will most likely have a different view to some.

They didn't change their name though. They're a new club. They call this their first season, they call the cup win the other week their first ever and they call August 2014 their first ever match.

At HPL level they obviously are the rich kids. The plan is to get to a higher level where they're competitive. I suspect they might be a lot less big fish in a small pond in the NCEL next year, we'll see. But they've done the right thing in starting from the bottom. If you can't start from the bottom and work your way up what can you do?

They were St Andrews FC and now they're Hull United AFC, that's definitely a name change.

Comparisons with City are ridiculous though, they're not a 111 year old professional football club with thousands of fans who've followed them all over the country for decades, they're currently just a glorified pub team.

Hull United was never St Andrews though. They just took over the league place St Andrews had held when they were established, in 2014.

    From the Hull United website...

"A name change request was submitted to the Football Association to revert St Andrews FC to Hull United and the quartet were on their way to living out their dream."

That's like MK Dons though isn't it? They're not Wimbledon, they're a new club established 2005.

The same website says "With the dust beginning to settle on Hull United's first season ... Hull United's first home league game in August ... the club that was formed in the summer months of 2014."

I'm sure it was convenient to take the place of an existing club and that they consider themselves a new club, but that doesn't change the fact that St Andrews FC changed their name to Hull United AFC to make it happen.

Anyway our kid knows a lass who works in the ticket office. The friendship is not intimate although he knows her well.

She told him renewals are now pushing 6k

Blimey, each one can only weigh about 5g too. I wonder why they've started gauging sales by weight though?

I actually don't know if I can be arsed with another season pass. I hate all the name change nonsense, a team full of ****wits that can't be arsed and they consistently put in lacklustre displays. If you picked 11 fans to take to the field and play the match on Sunday - they'd put in a far more committed performance. Then to top it off Jake ****ing Livermore. That is the tipping point, I think. The club has a cancer running right through the core. The Allams are no better than the Buchanan's and Hinchcliffes of the world, just wealthier versions.

Nice to see a well run club like Bournmouth push there season tickets up to an average of around 670 pounds ... Im guessing if they were only 300 pounds it would be headlines on here...

They actual charged an average of 600 in the championship makes ours look cheap

I posted a clear and full answer to your question. Dutch got pedantic about a minor part of it and as always you just come in later on and try to take the piss, completely ignoring the point that was made.

The average price of £600 that's gone to £687 include corporate passes that are almost a grand, the actual price most paid was well under £600(Their cheapest passes are in the North Stand and they've gone from £480 in the Championship to £550 in the Premier League).

Those prices are pretty much halved for disabled fans, if we did that, it would definitely be headlines on here.
