Ayre is a business man first and foremost and a business head is needed, just not in the area of transfer targets and wages. Let him stick to what he knows. The off pitch side of things, commercial deals etc. which he's doing very well at - just stop him influencing things he knows little about. Like it or not, clubs are businesses now more than ever and Ayre has a role in that. Get people in who know about transfers and targets and on pitch stuff, more and better coaches, a DoF - that'd be a good start.

    totally disagree here

Moenro played for how long as LB and got compeltely dropped cos he hadn't a clue how to defend or where to position.

He came back in under the 3-4-3 at wing back and had sahko inside him and looked far better... sahko out and suddenly he is benched as well for johnson !!!!

No way will moreno just improve suddenly next year. he need serious coaching to try and make him a better full back... irrespective of who is holding his hand beside him.

Ayre is off at the end of the season. Apparently going to Standard Chartered. Mike Gordon is the one running the show now.

    we will see.

is he even good enough? is he a star performer for a big revenue company who is actually still top 10 globally in its field?

He certainly needs coaching - problem is, who is going to do that? Rodgers can't coach defenders.

Moreno was far better under Emery last season and was more than capable when it came to defending.

that is indeed the problem. The basics are missing . especially just plain ball watching so i'm not sure he's just forgotten that and its a different level and different pace of game.... but he's basic positioning is weak.

Who the **** is Mike Gordon and what does he know about running a football club or negotiating transfers?

American owners in football just don't work. They don't get the sport or its financial models, American sports don't really have transfer fees and can always rely on the draft system to get the next big thing.
Reduced FFP means FSG are ****ed. I had high hopes that FSG, but I just don't think they get it and they never seem to be around when they are actually needed.

We need a DoF and probably a new manager, not to mention the huge investment needed to improve the squad to a higher level.

Also the 'Buying for the future' only works if the players stay long enough for it to work, which never happens in football anymore.
