To be fair those are one off instances, we had a massive rivalry which was epitomised by a player you were desperate to sign choosing us, and old red nose being bitter as **** about us. His tetchy "wee club in the north east" comment proved that. Certainly it will have dulled down over the last few years but I bet 90% of Man U fans would choose Newcastle as the team to go down, in an ideal world.

So 'desperate' to sign Shearer that we didn't call him back after initial contact? Sure you lot love that spin, he chose you lot over us, well done, I'll make sure to cry into our 13 Premier League trophies next time I'm down the stadium about that.

Red nose being bitter <laugh> that was a direct chip at ****nugget Pardew who complained that Fergie harasses refs despite the fact that he'd just been done for shoving linesmen. That had **** all to do with your lifeless numbskull of a hero.

I'd be part of that 90% for sure, I rake in £660 profit from a £10 stake.

Actually I think your lot have whipped up a fair amount of public disdain this season with your habit for leaving once you go 2-0 down <whistle>

Not if it means we lose the game though, most United fans don't have a bet on Newcastle going down. I think you'll find those who don't would much prefer to win the game than to lose just to have a laugh at Newcastle.

To be honest, if Newcastle stay up, I won't be too disappointed about losing my bet, I lose £10 it's not the end of the world.

Probably end up a draw, where I end up unhappy on both counts.

I smell a mag being a Hypocrite. Oh It's Cardew now there's a surprise. The supporter of a team that emptied their own ground while Sunderland's 'Cup Final' Was still being played. Fine one to talk about emptying seat. St James cleared at 0-2 :emoticon-0136-giggl

Sorry but that's one game, Sunderland have actually got themselves a reputation among pundits and fans alike for being pissy little drama queens and emptying prematurely whenever they're up against it.
This, from election night, for example:

How many walk outs have we organised? Answer none. How many have you lot arranged I've lost count because you've had a few, two organised in one game as I remember only that had more to do with Mags not being able to organise a piss up in a brewery you were that overcome with Drama. Embarrassing. The absolute pinnacle of pissy little drama queens <laugh><doh> I love it when you come on and slag Sunderland off for all things Newcastle are experts on <laugh><doh>

****ing laughing stock. <party> I'll leave you to it as going round in circles with you is about the most boring thing that can possibly happen on this website. :emoticon-0172-mooni

What does Beeling mean? From where I'm sitting (and I was sat here when I wrote it) Is you were calling us drama queens and I just reminded you of the many dramas Mags have created from spitting the dummy. I think anybody would take one look at you trying frantically to put Sunderland down based on double standards and think what an idiot <laugh>

I've got £30 on the Toon to drop at a massive 40/1 Terry. And I'm going Vegas on the 9th so it would be handy...

Think kit's Hull who's a goner though, for sure.

Shearer never turned down United, when he went Blackburn United never followed up interest, when he went Newcastle Blackburn refused to sell to United.

All that happened was Shearer never FORCED a move to United, he never had the chance to 'turn them down'.

Mate I almost had £20 on at 150/1 about 8 weeks back, I just, like everybody else, thought they might get a lucky win from somewhere thanks to a dodgy pen or something. I placed the bet about 10 days later, £10 at 66/1, just as they started to sink through the table swallowing up positions below them.

Let them have their little myth that he turned us down in favour of his boyhood club, it's all they've got to put in their trophy cabinet for the last 200 years, little old Alan Shearer, big ****ing wowzer, he'd have been benched for Ruud anyhow at least he got his precious goal records going to play for his boyhood club.

Just out of curiosity, something has just ticked in my mind...

Few years ago when you lot 'did the poznan' I come on here and explained why you might have burned some bridges with us with regards to loans players etc and I kept getting told the same thing... "We took 4 points of City this season so we helped you enough and you still blew it". I didn't really choose to acknowledge your contribution to our season, we get where we end up on our own, having said that, applying your logic...

If you lose your last two, Newcastle get a point or 3 and you survive by virtue of us stomping all over Hull, will you apply my logic to that scenario by saying you stayed up all by yourselves or would I be right to expect you lot to be kissing United's arse all summer?

Who is this to Tel? You got a good point but I think you need to dig out some quotes if you're to get a proper answer.
