    thats fine with me .
Lee Cattermole is celebrating his highest number of appearances for Sunderland in a Premier League season with another high - the most bookings he has ever accumulated in a league campaign.

With one game to go, Cattermole equalled the Premier League record of 14 yellow cards with his booking against Leicester on Saturday, a record that is jointly owned by Robbie Savage, Mark Hughes and Cheick Tiote.

His total this year is 2 more than Jack Colback, who has the second highest number of yellows with 12.

The 27-year-old has accumulated his fair share of yellow and red cards during a career, but he has had one of his worst seasons in terms of disciplinary matters this year - even if he avoided a dismissal. <bubbly>

I dare bet that if virtually any other player in the league had committed the same number and type of fouls that Cattermole has, then the number of bookings would be less than half that number..

I watched colback commit 4 or 5 a few weeks ago all worse than either of Cattermoles on Saturday and he didn't get one yellow. Robert Huths challenge on Wickham was a tackle from behind. By definition And BY THE RULEBOOK a yellow and nothing! I reckon he's deserved around 8 or 9 of them. Definitely not all of them and the remainder he was booked simply fir being lee cattermole

We know that he's picked out, we know that he's a full blooded but no longer reckless players.

RAW nailed it, refs are looking to give him a yellow and a lot of them are unfair, but sadly that will never change now.

The concern in it is one more and it's a 3 match ban to start next season, not ideal. With Arsenal & Chelsea to play I'd suggest that is an incredibly likely scenario.

No reds is a way better indicator than a few yellows, what kind of defensive mid doesn't get yellows, even the 'for the team' fouls to stop quick breaks would amount to 4-5 a season before you start.

In theory it'd be better, on Wednesday, if he picks up a yellow, to get himself sent off in the last minute. As he would only miss the Chelsea game rather than Chelsea and the first 2 next season! One match ban for 2 yellows and they are reset so he is back to 14! Oh... And, for the record, he hasn't stamped on anyone, 2 footed anyone, elbowed or spat at anyone... Unlike others that have been punished this season but don't seem to carry his reputation

He is a bit of a pantomime villain in the eyes of opposition supporters who need no encouragement to howl blue murder every time he is involved in a challenge. Sadly it is something he and us will have to live with and hope our referees wise up a bit. there is no doubt he plays with a handicap in this respect but he is still our number one midfield player by a country mile.

Doesn't matter what others think of catts, to me he's my fav player. Guaranteed 110% commitment every week! We're very lucky to have him, stoke would be higher up the table if they snagged him last season.

Great player, 20 year ago he would be England captain for sure, For catts to really shine I would sell him to a club who get protection from refs.

I love him but there is a part of me that would love him to get a big move and prove to everyone else how good he is.

His reputation is probably good for is in a way re keeping hold of him.

? Insightful post! I reckon Stoke would be further up with him. Your opinion (if a smiley can be considered one) his zero reasons why you disagree. Tell me why you disagree instead of a stupid smiley.

Think he's highlighted the 110%. With the smiley I'm guessing he doesn't like using anything more than 100% - because in this instance you cannot give more than 100%.

    Might be wrong like.

What I meant is that it is possible to use percentages more than 100%, e.g. in maths, but in this scenario you can't.

I know what I'm trying to say, but not sure it's coming across the right way.
