Yeah I like Flanagan as a squad player but would like to see Manquillo given the opportunity.

Yeah, I hope Rodgers is telling the truth in this case but doubt it. It would be a massive shame because Manquillo is a talented defender.

De Scigilio is great shout. Already one of the best full backs in the league and is only 22. Can play on both flanks as well.

De Sciglio and Ricardo Rodriguez as fullback would be a wet dream.

Flanno is ok. Can fill in on both flanks but truth is, we already have better players.

Yep, it's great value. We need to be smarter about our business - and deals like this represent good business.

Agreed but we also need players like him who can fill in gaps and who want to play for us, players like Flanagan can be just as important as the stars at times, without them we get 1 or 2 injuries and we're ****ed and have some dick like Johnson as backup.

In that case my examples of types of players are Messi, Neymar, Robben and Xavi for next season. Gerrez needs to aim higher!

The many years of Traores and Koncheskys have an affect on a man. :emoticon-0148-yes:

Yep - as a 3rd back up, I'd keep him.

But the lad wants £40k a week. That's far too much.

    My first two were...

After that the competition is so fierce nobody wants the truthful answer

The truth is if you want a top player you go do it in January as the big fish might just not bully you off it.

This market place will be full if big fish

Harsh and we don't really know what he wants, he strikes me as someone who'd play for us for buttons and as much as I agree that he should be backup he should be 1st choice if there are any injuries to our first choice full backs.

Not sure about Rodriguez but Willem is the type I feel.

if Rodgers went I'd say hey some top coach might in 2 years make moreno into a full back to rely on but as of now he is dodgy as f from pure positioning sense

    --------------------------Mignolet
    Montoya----Howedes----Sakho----Moreno
    -------------------Hendo----------Can
    --------Sterling-------Kovacic--------Coutinho
    -------------------------Sturridge

Green (or anyone tbh), Skrtel, Flanagan, Milner, Lallana, Ibe, Aubameyang

I have zero faith in us managing anything spectacular. Think Kovacic is the most promising we can hope for. Aubameyang benched in anticipation of Sturridge getting his second injury of the season mid-August.

Have gone for minimum change but adding an experienced CB and a defence minded RB in Montoya. Can could be brilliant for us in the next year or two and Moreno has shown signs of talent but needs to waken up to the speed of the PL.

Seeing as we're going to miss out on top 4 by around 10 goals it seems prudent not to change everything all over again. We'd still have Allen, Lucas, Markovic, Ings to come in.

  16. Would love RR. Wanted him prior to us getting Moreno.

So you also missed the explanations after the line up too then <doh>

I'm still surprised as to why no one has gone in for him yet - but it's another example of a quality player who is making his name around Europe before joining a big club.

But agreed - he's a complete full back. Will be world class one day.

Mignolet; Trippier, Skrtel, Sakho, Moreno; Henderson, Milner; Markovic, Coutinho, Konoplyanka; Sturridge.

    Seems about accurate <whistle>
