Am i the only one to be a little dissapointed with SAFC about us being linked to Frederic Piquionne ? He is 32 and playing for West Ham who are only a very average team. He has not set the Premier League alight at any of his clubs !:emoticon-0112-wonde

I agree he is a little old but he is better than nothing he has scored 8 goals this season which is good but not worth 4m. For me i would rather add 5-6m and go for pavlyuchenko

But who ever we get will get full support.

Don't care how old he is , he's a real handful and would definitely offer us something.

I'd not want to pay more than they paid though, £3million i believe?

If he's a short term option, it's unlikely he'll be offered a 5 year contract. Has that Connor Wickham made his £50m move to Spurs yet?

It's obvious that Bruce isn't going to get his fingers burnt by being held to ransom in the window. His hand has been forced to go into the market by Bent leaving us in the lurch. Otherwise he wouldn't have been chasing Piquionne or anyone else. He's a physical type and has a bit of pace. It's a short term move and there's nothing wrong with that. He has been targeting the other lads ie Muntari and Sessegnon for a while so they don't quite fall into the same camp simply because Sessegnon has made it clear to PSG that he wants to leave and hasn't been training whilst Muntari is out of favour and Inter will be happy to move him on.

I would like Mark Noble as well if we are shopping in East London!

I rate Noble as well mate, proper grafter and a very decent passer as well.

I'd take him, but he's a proper West Ham lad i think, meaning he'd not likely leave unless they bombed.

Brucey's Yes he is (Noble). Most observers rate Parker but I actually think that he's gone downhill and that the real force in the WH midfield is MN. They could yet go down and it will be intersting to see what happens with him in the summer.

Noble is a canny player you are right ! Why are we not in for Stephen Ireland ? I would hate the SCUM to get him cos i think he is a bit of quality !

Totally agree, i said as much on 606 a while back when people were saying we should go for Parker.

Personally i think don't see the attraction of Parker, good player? Yes. Great player? Not in a million years. Age ain't on his side either.

Noble's long range passing has been exceptional when i've seen him, he's a very good player indeed.

I've got Sky Sports score centre on for the two matches that are on tonight and have just taken a look at the lineups. Has anyone noticed that Piquionne is not in the West Ham squad for tonights semi final? I haven't read anything about him being injured.

I agree Brucey's.I'm surprised that half the teams in the league are not lining up to take Ireland. If we sign these two lads as now seems highly likely then we won't need him. He would probably cost significantly more than either of them. Ireland has fallen from favour at two clubs in a short period. Maybe there's something else about him.

    That is interesting.

He got sent off the weekend, but this is a non-fa competition so it's not that.

Hmmmmm, i think i'm gonna stroke my chin...

    Bald,

Agree mate, there's more to the Ireland tale, going right back to the '3 dead grannies' stuff, the lads tapped.

Dodge him like the plague i say, made for the toon circus mind

Good evening to you my dear old friend!

This site is building up a head of steam alright. Lots of the regulars have moved across and a lot of new posters have joined the throng. It's going along nicely.
