We'd have more chance of getting money from Livermore, than Chelsea had with Mutu, as he's likely to stay in the UK, but he'll have spent most of his earnings and his future earnings will be a fraction of what they would have been. Realistically, we're unlikely to get anything out of Livermore, other than not paying his wages.
It's a straight forward £8m write off although I suspect we haven't paid it all upfront I doubt any contract clauses allow us to offset the financial fall out; or keep his registration, help him, and recover part of the fee at some point in the future. Either way its a bl**dy mess and Livermore's only got himself to blame.
What's all this help him **** I am reading on here He didn't need our help when he was putting the stuff in his body. He didn't need our help picking up his £40k pw wages (or whatever the figure) He hasn't pulled up any trees this season which could suggest this has been going on a long time. Get shut of him and any others that are taking the piss out of our once great club.
Until all the facts are known then my powder on this topic stays dry. Or condem him. JAKE can hardly be accused of taking performance enhancing drugs mind this season. The comments of Jermain Jenas and Michael Dawson appear to shed some light on the situation though.
Once great club? Are you a Leeds United fan? They like to bring up the past and over exaggerate their greatness. We've always been ****, this is possibly the greatest we have ever been.
That doesn't wash with me at all. These guys get paid a ****ing fortune for kicking a ball and running around a lot (try telling that to some of them). I am fed up of the pity we show these twats when things go wrong for them. Too much money and time on their hands.
Greatness isn't characterized by trophies or height on a table it's how you carry yourselves and the effort that you leave out on the pitch. Trophies and height on the table can and are purchased, one doesn't simply buy greatness.
I agree, unfortunately not enough are carrying themselves particularly well at the moment, and as for effort left out on the pitch...
Clearly I wouldn't say we are playing well, just as I wouldn't say last season was our greatest team, it was our most successful team ever. The greatest team I have watched from us was the 08 promotion team. But my watching us has been confined to the years I have been able to stream our games or watch them on tv so it's a limited field.
If you are saying that you can excuse his behaviour because of some tragedy in his personal life then thats bullshit, everybody has to deal with tough times, not use them as an excuse to act up
There can never be the excuse of outside stress & pressure if a player takes to using drugs.......players earning £40k plus a week have no comprehension of the real stresses of life, struggling to keep a roof over your head & to keep food on the table
In the immortal words of Ice-T: Nobody put the crack in to the pipe Nobody made you smoke off your life You thought that you could do dope and still stay cool? Fool. You played yourself. You played yourself. Ain't nobody else's fault, you played yourself.
I'm enjoying a cup of Green Tea. Much cheaper than cocaine, will keep your nose in-tact and won't embarrass you in random drug tests. A lesson, for Jake, right here.
