I will be amazed if Rodgers is given more time. A complete failure and waste of time and money, nothing will be different this time next year if he stays. Sign Ings and have the strike force of an Aston Villa esque team, shambolic defence and keeper, disjointed midfield and absolutely no stars in our team once Sterling leaves and Coutinho probably not far behind.

Rather than simply let this die due to it deserving it for obvious reasons i thought I'd post exactly the original intent completed for the full season

    you'll note that:

    a) LFC only one in the entire season got on course for 70 points.

    b) At mid way we were on for 56points total. thats how bad we were after 19 games.

    c) in the final ten games our form was: WLLWLDWDLL. That started really 9 games out losing to utd and since then we only beat newcastle who were utter dross and QPR who were utter dross. That is 11 points out of 30... or if you say from utd game. 8 out of 27.

    d) we had 3 blocks of good form all season. we were never close. Block 3 kill our season and that was october.

Another one of astro's thralls starts the where's Astro stuff

Uir first point on match thread... where's Astro.

Now tobes I know you love Astro and hang on everybody but I could have easily left this thread down on page 4 but I wanted to post the serious stuff we had last season and nothing about other teams.

Had I said I was not pushed day one this would not be a Astro v everyone thread so while there's a chance please let the actual lfc season be shown in all it's glory.... ;) make it about Astro again and you let us off the hook

Our sradon is there in stark figures. We are damned lucky were were not 11th after all.

    Rodgers the record breaker.

    Worst start for 50 years

First manager to complete three seasons and end the third season without winning a pot

Worst defeat for over 50 years with today's result and all after spending over £200m to shape his team

    And my favourite.

"If you spend £100m you should be challenging for the title"

yes... but in the end i'd have scaked him in december and bought in january.

My strong view is our lack of movement i njanuary was the nail in the coffin. I would be shocked if he's no sacked but then... maybe not. It'd be a sign of real indifference and just getting by if he is left in situ.

Comolli and Dalglish spunked 35mil on carroll and then embarrassed FSG over suarez. the elague cup win was enough enough to save either man.

Rodgers have managed to keep opening his mouth and embarrassing himself over several things, played reserves in CL, and spunking 25mil on lallana and 20mil on lovern, 16mil on badontelly, 20mil on markovic which was astounding.

All in all it'd be very strange if you sack one and not the other.

    three strikes

    1. Badontelly to replace suarez

    2. Gerrard and sterling OGs

    3. worst of all really poor performances and total disjointedness. leading to a barely deserved 6th.

Let's also not mention his comments on Southampton.

“They have a choice as a club. They don’t have to sell. They had that choice. Maybe Southampton’s objectives have changed. They were on course to be a Champions League club, I believe, but, obviously, that has changed."

    Who am I kidding<laugh>

I've said a while back now that Rodgers was NOT the man to take us forward. A few of the more enlightened ones here agreed.

Thank goodness that the issue is now laid all stark and bare for all to see. Including some of the our more myopic misguided fans including Astro.

There is no way Rodgers can continue to manage our team. It was clear to all that Suarez deserved the Manager OTY award last year not him as the world class player had carried the poor man all along and half of the whole team.

Sorry but it is time to say Good bye.

    that time was november.

we will see i think theres more disasters to come before FSG finally bite the bullet.

they remind me more and more of moores and parry while the do it.

Regrettably I agree. With the recent contract extension, I just don't think this season has been disastrous enough for FSG to pull the trigger.
