But that's the beauty of the Championship.....anyone can beat anyone. Remember we lost 4-1 away at Scunthorpe in our Championship winning season a few years back..and Scunny got relegated.
Anyone does beat anyone in the PL and it's much better quality than the Championship. But falling in quality the last few seasons.
Is that really all that counts? We are **** and can't beat anyone but we are in the Premier league and that is all that matters.
If Sky got their way and only showed the top four you wouldn't give a **** which division we were in.
That you'd rather support a club on its knees with a load of **** players we all hate that is 20th in the Prem because you get to watch half a dozen games from your armchair and people down the pub have heard of us than one that is building and full of likeable players who want to play for us which, for now at least, is in the Championship. I'd say you're barely a fan of QPR at all when we aren't in the top division.
The first time I ever went to see QPR play in the PL was three years ago. Up until that, every game I saw us play live was in the FL including when I had a season ticket in League One. But that's besides the point. The point is some of y'all sentimentalists are holding us back from our destiny. I'm beginning to think you folk are half hoping the FL don't let us back in and we end up in the Conference because there you can wallow in defeatist nostalgia with so called "real" football and "real" fans to your hearts content. If your type had their way we'd never leave the dilapidated relic that is Loftus Road either & you'd have us thrust back to the pre-Sky days of bovril, mullets and mud baths for pitches. You're living in a bygone era and you've been left behind. Instead of wishing instant relegation and almost annihilation on the Club you purport to support for the sake of a decent pie, just take your three & sixpence to Tescos and let the rest of us continue our evolution, Sir.
Actually there is a perverse attraction about being sent to oblivion, the seventh circle of Hell (the one with Kidderminster Harriers, and demons eating your entrails in perpetuity) and then clawing our way back, inch by inch, year by year, until the ultimate redemption of Champions League victory and the handmaidens of God singing our praises! Yes! Demote us now! Nurse! Nurse! NURSE!!!!
Just don't see what's so great about watching a load of mercenaries who couldn't give a toss about QPR finishing last. In an ideal world we'd have had the sort of season Stoke/Swansea have had with the money spent. No-one wants the club to be unsuccessful but rather be unsuccessful and likeable than unsuccessful and a team full of ****s.
That is an incredibly provocative post Swords. I want want us to be competing at the top table but only if we have half a chance of succeeding. You are right of course, we have out grown Loftus Road, an 18k capacity cannot sustain Premier league football. I've been going to LR for 47 years so I think that makes me a real fan, and oh, I love Bovril!
So you never saw us in the PL when we had a team worth watching, that's one of the big reasons supporters watching the current bunch of overpaid wasters are so pissed off. Evolution doesn't happen in an armchair...
Allow me to cast my mind back to the 94-95 season .................. we finished 8th. Scroll down to the PL able, as listed. Only 20 years ago. Seems like yesterday ............ if only. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...-reunite-20-years-Premier-League-triumph.html
The answer to the OP is no! However, it's not quite as simple as that is it? A lot of good replies on here.
