Yeah Beckham wore 7 for Man U and England so it is probably that.

Unless they are fans of Logan's Run!?

Who knows I think the whole name is even worse than Chris Martin and Gwyth Paltrow calling their first kid Apple.

Wouldn't of put it past them to have her first name as 'Lucky' instead.

Woulda been a bit too much like a dog's name. And David's got one of those at home already.

Parents can be real twats with names. Friends of mine had a boy and they decided they were going to call him Courtney. Bad enough but as their surname was Bracegirdle and they lived in a fairly rough area I think that amounts to child cruelty. Courtney Bracegirdle ffs he would have taken a beating every day of his school life.

Alot of pressure from friends and family got them to change it to David. No messing around with Dave ... good solid blokes name. Still gonna take stick for Bracegirdle but what can you do!?

I didn't think Courtney was a boys name what so ever! I know I was going to be called Natalie if I was a girl...I ended up with the "good solid blokes name" as you finely put above!

Anyways...Courtney, he might as well have never went to school, less trouble had that happened!

<laugh> Blimey, what an unfortunate name!
What begs belief is that the parents clearly have no idea the monstrous names they are giving their kids!
It's just like having a child and them pushing them straight out to the wolves, in todays society!

Doubt you'd seen a child called Gay any more though!

Yes blokes name as well. A good mate of mine has it as his middle name. First name is Marcus though so no problem there.

The danger with naming boys in my experience is the influence of the mother. Alot of women don't seem to understand what a "blokey" name is ... if you know what I mean?

Like you say it is really irresponsible. I can think of three or four really bad ones that I know personally (Gavin Gavin, Teresa Green, Richard "Dick" Headington and Christopher Topher) and I am sure everybody else can too. Which means there are literally thousands of kids who have grown up with the stigma of having a crap name, along with all the problems that brings.

Actually Gavin loves his name because he is a mad character and it suites him but the parents weren't to know that it wouldn't do him harm when they picked it.

Gavin Gavin's a pretty mental name ha, like it! <laugh>

Will ask my mum of any other crazy names the kids she works with has. The girlfriend deals with people in her work too, so she goes on about a lot of pretty funny names! Can't think of any off the top of my head, though I think there was a couple of Richard Head related ones!

Best name ever was in A Level history we were learning about a guy called Richard Sackville. There was only 5 of us in that history group so the laughter spread pretty quickly as you could tell! Called the lesson off about 10 minutes later 'cause none of us could concentrate. Childish, I know! But at the time, when you're not supposed to be laughing really, hillarious!
