Ok, so I'd say it's now at the stage where staying up is out of our hands. We're not capable of beating West Ham so if Hull win they're safe.

Which players would you keep that you believe would give us the best chance of coming back up at the first attempt?

I'd go for the following squad:

    Darlow, Woodman, Elliott

Saylor, Dummett, Haidara, Lascelles, Raylor (he's been awful but I'd give him a one year deal if we're in the championship)

Abeid, Colback, Sammy, Kemen (same as Raylor, one year deal), Aarons

    Armstrong, Perez

So we'd need two physical strikers, three midfielders and at least two defenders.

Players shifted on would be Krul, Colo, Williamson, Janmaat, Anita, Gouffran, Obertan, Sissoko, Cabella, Riviere, Jonas, Tiote.

I'd quite like to keep Janmaat and maybe Cabella (even though he's been poor) but can't see either wanting to stay.

Not having Sameobi. That **** belongs in the Blue Square Premier at best. I'd pass on Raylor too. Good lad but I'd try and get someone like Trippier.

    Other than that <ok>

I'd keep Sammy in, he did a job when he was at Boro. Raylor is past it beyond being a squad player/good influence in the dressing room a la Alan Smith, and as long as he's here, he'll keep getting starts, so get rid imo.

Why change anything ...We have the perfect Squad / Coaches and Management for mid table championship football already Its a work of inspired genius almost..preparing ahead of time

Only change I would make is Raylor .. Nice guy but finished as a top level-ish footballer. I think the only reason he is being played is due to his contract ... ie Ashley wants to get SOME use out of all the wages he has paid (no matter how bad or ill judged that use might be) ...so play him and relieve some of the 'wear and tear' on another player ... Perfect ZHC type mentality

Sammy can go **** himself, whatever League we are in.

Surely De Jong owes us something if we went down? I mean the **** has hardly played.

A few weeks ago, I was speaking to a Middlesbrough fan about Sammy, reckoned that Shola was a much better player (which he is) and also said he was one of their worst players.

He scores the odd very goal like the one at Hull and lives on it for the next few months in some people's minds.

Reckon we could just about keep Aarons, Cabella and Perez, IF we still bin off carver.

Raylor shouldn't play again after Saturday debacle.

Resign Damien Duff! Always does well for Fulham against us, sent us down, if only West Ham have him next game..

Last time we went down we had a core of players that felt a responsibilty for that calamity and they had guilt. This current crop have none of that. The majority of them wil TRY to jump ship. Whether any clubs will try to sign them is a different matter, as most of them are shiite and on big wages. So next season we could have much the same squad of effing wasters competing in the most competative league in the world. God FCUKING help us!!

There was also a core who had the required skills to get back out. Nolan, Raylor, Saylor, Smith, Guthrie, Carroll, Jonas, Barton, Enrique, Simpson, Best, Lovenkrands, Willo, Butt all had a toughness about them which meant they were ready to deal with the physical and mental drain of a long championship season. Many of them were better than Championship level but perhaps not by much in many cases, if at all in some.

Why not promote lots of the kids.
We could find some gems amongst them.
