True - and if Deportivo lose later tonight they will have a real chance of survival. Their shocking goal difference is keeping them in the relegation area, but the team level with them are on a six match losing streak.
I think goal difference is not as important in Spain. Two clubs on the same points are separated by the results between them, so if the final relegation spot is between two teams, A and B, on the same points, and the results between them are A2-0B and B1-0A then B will be relegated. That is how it used to be, at least.
Will the season actually finish though, or will they simply decide to just start again next season with all the same teams and forget about promotion and relegation?
They're currently giving a good account of themselves against Real Sociedad - 0-0 after 23 minutes, but they have been doing the bulk of the attacking.
Almeira are winning at Seville. Granada holding their own but other scores are not going their way. Roma v Udinese BT1 7:45 tonight.
