Is football better to watch in the lower leagues?

Following a comment on the Bristol Rover thread by awjm which got me thinking.
From the vast majority of clubs in the Championship and downwards through the divisions it becomes a more level playing field financially between the clubs. Which in turn means that the competition is more even on the pitch, so does this result in more entertaining football and therefore more enjoyable to watch?
As the Premier league becomes more divided between the "haves" and "have nots" is the lower leagues the place to be?

I'm sorry but that is complete rubbish. Yes you get the odd freak result but will Leicester or Stoke ever win the title?

Depends what you want to watch. Very good players or worse players in perhaps more evenly matched teams.

But by this logic you join Marine Boy in not caring about results and ambition in terms of supporting a club. Personally I prefer to watch better players. I just wish QPR had some of them.

Of course I want us to win and be in the highest league possible, but where is the enjoyment in going to a game knowing there is very little hope of winning?

The average Prem game is better to watch than the average lower league game.

Best value for money football is probably the Championship. Below that it's generally pretty dire and you can still pay £20+.

But there is always the hope. And the possibility of a result like Chelsea 0 QPR 1 SWP. Thats much more memorable, if rare, than a cracking 2-2 draw with Rotherham.

But is it? That's my point, the 1-0 at Chelsea is only memorable because it is such a rarity.

I will say that the one thing about the championship is it seems a more level playing field. Most clubs have a better chance of having a go if you like.

I will say I prefer watching MOTD highlights than the football league highlights. Saying that I will confess to not seeing much MOTD this season due to avoiding a painful reminder of how we came short this season.

I'm glad you did not mark my GCSE exams Swords, my grades were not all that, I would have struggled to find a job if you marked them.

Why do you say that Swords?
I'm not saying it is better in the lower divisions but simply asking the question, do fans enjoy it more because the games tend to be more evenly balanced.

Less a football one and more a match day experience, away games may be more enjoyable due the older grounds.

You will visit less of these identikit often soulless grounds that are built five miles away from town centers on a retail park.

I watch QPR irrespective of who we are playing. Who is playing against us is an irrelevance. If I want to be a "fan boy" for other teams players, I like to watch a neutral game.

Or Southampton? Probably not, but not impossible. There was only 1 team which was clearly better than all the rest this season. A few have enormous resources but it needs more than just that. Without Mourinho Chelsea would have been in the pack below too.
