Lets go down the divisions, relegation after relegation. Ashley has to sell us cos its costing him money. The fans rally together, along with local businessmen, to form a true fans collective football club. We start again. With the support of 50,000 true fans we will soon start the climb back up the divisions. Its the only way we can save our club. Call me a dreamer but, I can see no other solution to our problems. We have to boycott every effing game from now on, until they bugger off and leave us alone. This club will never die, never ever!!!

I won't willingly put another penny into that fat tedious twat's pockets while he is at the club.

There must be more committed fans than me pulling their hair out at the way this club has been run.

I don't mean to be rude mate, but this is crazy talk. You wouldn't wish those years of pain and woe on anyone. And I don't exactly see Pompey getting back to the Championship so soon, let alone the Premier League.

As for this club will 'never die' - it easily could if something like that happened. You can't think that way. As bad as Ashley is if we go down that route we could end up with someone even worse. It's vital we stay up this year. If we have to ride out Ashley for a couple more years, until he gets some of that TV money and Rangers are back in the SPL, then so be it. Because he won't go anywhere if we're in the Championship. Who the **** would buy us?

If we get relegated, we will be aiming at promotion and I think we'll get it either in 1 or 2 years. Ashley will protect his investment by adding to the loan he already holds over us. He won't leave the club until he sees that he can get a return on the capital he's put in, because to sell us at a loss would be admitting defeat and he's not going to do that. He's here for the foreseeable whether we like it or not.

The best possible outcome would be for him to have a change of heart and put in place a 5 year plan to pay the loan down, recovering his money while staying in the PL, after which the club becomes saleable because a prospective buyer wouldn't have to pay 100m over the odds upon purchase. But it will take a serious change in attitude for the guy to do that - on past record, he's not recovered any of the money he loaned to us and as far as I can see he views loans like this as instruments of control rather than things to be paid back. Just look at the Rangers situation, the loan he made to them came with massive strings attached, and it was only when it became obvious he wouldn't get control that he sought repayment. He already has complete control of this club, so what's the motivation to recover the loan? He wouldn't be able to impose free advertising on us so easily if it wasn't for the loan.

I don't want to get personal with anyone because everyone is entitled to their opinion but Ashley will not go until he gets what he wants and no one will buy us in the Championship/League 1. If he does decide to sell at a cheaper price, he will completely asset strip the place. If someone then comes in and is not willing to spend the required amounts we will be rotting in the lower league like Forest and Leeds. Does anyone want to suffer what those two teams have?

There is a mentality of some supporters that 'It can't get much worse' but I assure you it can. Look at Portsmouth, Luton, etc. Our position is bad but many teams would happily swap places with us. I honestly believe with the TV money coming in next summer Ashley knows he will have to get it right and that means spending serious money and getting a proper manager. He may not give a **** about the football or fans but money he does care about and he won't want to miss out on that.

This ..the loan will never come down only ever go up, in the same way the 'free' adverstising isn't accounted for in any shape or form.and hence why Wonga are the perfect sponsors for Ashley same methods and mentality ...

If we are in the premiership he is never, ever going to sell. Why would he give up or sell a constant cash tap which barring an advertising vehicle is all we are. Turn off the cash tap, remove the 'advertising audience', cost him time and money then he may sell. If he really gave a s*** about any of this he could have made a statement weeks ago asking the fans to give him one last chance and back the team. In exchange he could have outlined a 3, 5 10 year plan whereby we go for the best coach we could possibly get, challenge for cups and develop and keep players (like Perez, Abeid, Aarons etc) and whilst running it like a business actually have some ambition.

He will never ever sell unless we ARE in the Premier League. Whatever happens he will not sell us for a loss. He may cut his (our) cloth to suit the reduced income, but he won't sell us for less than he has invested and NOBODY will ever pay that unless we are a premier league club. Anybody hoping Ashley sells should be praying for survival as without it we are stuck with him for years and years with no possibility of him selling.

I don't think he'll ever sell full stop. Whilst your argument is compelling, I don't believe more so than the argument that while he remains a sports store owner, he will never sell us while we remain in the PL. Why would he? He has coined it off the back of buying this club and the exposure it has given his main business in the PL. I see no end to this.

His past record shows that he has been willing to sell profitable, money-making concerns for the chance to make a sizeable profit on his investment. I can't find a single case in his business history where he has sold for a loss on his investment. He has held onto loss-making concerns until he can either turn them around or strip enough assets out of them to get his money back.

He will have lost money at some stage, not often, but there will have been occasions. Nature of the beast. He won't do it with Newcastle.

What is always forgotten is how much SD has grown since buying a PL club. He'll never lose money in real terms, the club has already done its job. It has resulted in huge growth and that has enabled him to expand his empire ever further.

The league we are in has no relevance to him selling the club IMO. Its just a vehicle to get to other means. Yes if he came to sell, and he had to take a loss or break even, some might think he has lost money. I'm not convinced he'd see it that way!

I don't see him selling the club while we are in the PL and it makes money. I see it as even less likely than if we went down. Equally I don't see him selling if we went down. He'd probably just try to find the cheapest way back. Essentially there is no end.

Ashley was worth circa £980 million when he bought us. He is now worth over £3 billion on the back of using us to promote his ****ty brand. He is looking to break into North America. That is why he wants Rangers. They have a massive following over there and combined with NUFC, the exposure for Sports Direct would only see his wealth increase further. He is here for the long haul.

Which doesn't explain why he's such a fckin abysmal owner. Even if he gave half a feck he'd be better off. Still and will always make no sense.

This is the thing that is overlooked constantly. He can't lose money on NUFC. They are not solely responsible for his increased fortune, far from it. They have however performed a significant role in a much grander plan. Taking all the bitterness about "my" club out of it, the bloke is a genius when it comes to making money. Whelan made an enemy of him thinking he was just some upstart from London, what a massive mistake that was!

I agree that he is here for the long haul. I think if we go down he will just invest enough to get us back up again. He wont sell. If we stay up he wont sell either. The only thing that would make him sell and give up his publicity machine would be a stupidly over the top offer. Personally, I think that offer will never happen as there are other options out there available at a fraction of the cost. If it did come though it would only come if we were a top flight team. Its all irrelevant though as no stupid offer will be made and he wont sell - no matter what league we are in.

Another thing that is overlooked - If we go down he can own us and Rangers as there is no possibility of a conflict of interest from ever playing in the same competition. Ashley would be able to run us cheaply combined with pushing Rangers towards the Champions League. Then, when we eventually get promoted back up, he will continue to use us to make more money.

It doesn't. He's astute in business terms, but in football terms he is an absolute ****.
