We don't have goalscorers for a start.

He keeps saying that we need to find a way to 'score a goal'. Always the singular. I think that quite accurately sums up how we set up to play.

Have to agree. I like Bruce and rate him as a manager but this season I expected a lot more from Hull(I thought you'd finish top half!) and ultimately it has to come down to him. Having a DoF identify and sign players for the manager is derided by the British media but I think Bruce would benefit from this, he's a good coach but he doesn't make good decisions in the transfer market. I hold my hands up and admit I'm only saying this in hindsight but ultimately he didn't get the balance right and signed too many players from abroad as well as trying to turn around the careers of Ramirez, Hernandez and Arfa.

That aside, I have to say that over the 2 games us coming away with 6 points and you none is very unfair. I thought you guys made a good go of it today but after the first goal we seemed to get our confidence back and finished the game off, although not without a few nervy moments!

Anyway best of luck pulling off the great escape next weekend, I'll be sticking a few of quid on it and hoping to see Dawson and Tommy celebrating next week <ok>

I'll go along with Yid Vicious here, I also like Bruce and I also have a lot of time for Huddlestone, Daws and up until yesterday, Jake, so I wish you well next weekend. I'll also be having a few quid on you to stay up. Believe <ok>.

You gave a decent account of yourselves today, but ultimately you fell short up front. I wish you well, your fans were a credit today and it was a throwback to good old times to see both sets of fans mixing together outside the ground before the game.

    Heh.

No, these definitely were CTWDers and Allam Outers.

Or is that the same thing now Obi? :p

CTWD is dead, replaced by HCST.

I wouldn't know what a separate CTWDer and Allam Outer looked like.

As you know I have no active involvement in HCST so wouldn't know if its the same thing. I suspect not. You also know the Allams crossed the line for me when they evicted hundreds from the Airco Arena. When the dust settles, as it will, I think the Allams will be seen in a worse light then Bartlett. Its takes a lot to miss the open goal they had when they bought the club and put in the money to get us promoted but they've managed it.

They have the money to change that perception but I don't think they have the inclination. Just my personal view.

I disagree. I don't know anyone who misses Bartlett or speaks well of him. I know plenty who feel the opposite way about the Allams.

100% of ill feeling was directed to Bartlett, that simply is not true of the Allams.

As I said when the dust settles that's when Assem Allam will be judged. We are still in the whirlwind and the fat lady hasn't started singing.

That is not at all true, there's about as many of us who loved Bartlett and Duffen as there are who like Allam currently.

Though that's probably true, nobody ever hated Bartlett as much as many now hate Allam.

The game sums up much of the season. The better team - play well and miss chances.

Then gift sloppy goals away. This game should have been won by City by half time.

Makes the performance last week against Burnley even harder to take / understand.

Just saw the highlights of the game. Based on that City were the superior team, looks like Jelavic could have had a hatrick. Commentator was waxing lyrical about their play. And the much maligned Hernandez showed considerable skill to flick the ball up and overhead kick it only to be denied. If we could play like that all the time whether in the premier league or the Championship we will be ok.
