I'm pretty confident he had a big hand in signing the Soton lads - our marquee signings, Lovren and Lallana were the biggest failures.

But it's not just that - it's the style, tactics, philosophy, poor team selections, playing players in the wrong positions, defensively clueless, ego, easy to criticise players that he didn't sign.

Well he's in total control of football matters at LFC so I'd say all of them, there are players he's enquired about but got ****ed off or our owners won't pay the wages required so we end up with mainly average signings.

 

It is a combination of both. But ultimately the manager is responsible. How come the same players who gave up one Moyes, didn't give up on LVG? Nope - he wanted Williams 2 years ago but the committee (when they had more power) chose Sakho. Rodgers sulked and avoided using Sakho until Sakho got a good run in the side and simply could not be dropped.

Rodgers then still wanted to replace Sakho and spunked £20m on Lovren because he was 'big name'. Lovren is definitely his choice. We were offered Lovren before he joined Soton but the committee refused.
