My missus got me to buy two largish banana trees, they cost a bloody fortune. First frost and they turned to mush and died. I'd spent ages wrapping the ****ing things in fleece blankets when it got cold but the bastards still rotted and died. Not eaten a banana since. And tree ferns can **** off, they died as well. Though if I'm honest, I liked the tree ferns.

My other half once threw a packet of Jaffa cakes at the checkout woman in Aldi. Apparently she got snotty because he indoors asked if she wouldn't mind helping with the packing. Like that's some sort of justification.
