Not the best argument as alcohol kills more people than any other drug. Also, legal highs (mcat, meow meow, etc) are the worst things around at the moment. Id rather my teenage child bought weed, coke, mdma (ecstasy) than any of those legal highs. If anyone watched the programme on c4 when Jon Snow got high, theyll have noticed that he didn't smoke a spliff to ingest the cannabis, but it was vaporised and inhaled that way. So you can avoid the damage to your lungs in the same way you can use an e cigarette to inhale nicotine.
Also I don't think there's any point trying to compare the validity of each addiction. Everyone's brains are wired differently. Food addiction will be a serious problem for some, where as some won't be able to have a drink without going on a year long bender.
I wasn't comparing them, just asking you to choose. I set no levels either and I am amazed some people would be comfortable buying their child drugs.
Sorry, this was in response to the previous couple of pages. In response to your question (excellent Q by the way!), I'd rather my kids didn't follow my example, and lived a teetotal life. But... I don't think cannabis is any worse than alcohol (baring in mind both have the potential to wreck lives).
I wouldnt buy any of them, but undoubtedly cannabis and ecstasy are the least harmful on there, that's not up for debate, it's fact. Saying that though there's no way on earth I would buy my son drugs, like ****. I wouldn't be happy with him binge drinking either though as it's more harmful yo him (I know, ex borderline alcoholic here) Edit: good thought provoking question flt.
As far as i am concerned your reply to my post is a load of utter rubbish, more than off kilter i'm afraid. Nobody needs to take any form of drug to have a good time and enjoy a decent life. Druggies are a scourge of all societies and to pretend otherwise is naive.
Don't think it would be wise. The player in question has an injunction. See, those law classes coming to the fore.
Right looking for some advice from parents. My 7month old son has a terrible cough at the moment and he's very bunged up meaning he can't breathe through his nose he also has a dummy when he sleeps. Hes not sleeping very well n keeps coughing/losing breath n waking himself up. Any advice on what to do?
