Poor result but oh well.

Gerrard has been fantastic for us.

Its a shame most of the time we've not had the team around him.

 

I like the new kit they are wearing.... apart from the collar. Collar looks ****

 

None of our attackers have been able to do it. He's 20 years old and managed to score 11 goals (2nd highest tally) despite being in an awful team. Nobody sane relies on a 20 year old to win them games on a weekly basis, that's why we're so ****ed and haven't come close to challenging in the PL or CL this season.

He will be able to do it in a few seasons probably but not at the moment. Not even Ronaldo would've been able to carry Man Utd's attack at 20 years old.

True, but then he shouldn't be asking for £150k a week and expecting to be paid a ridiculous amount of money.

No one would batter an eye lid if he'd signed a contract for £80k and had a few bad performances. We'd be saying the exact same thing, he's young he can improve, team around is poor.

The fact he thinks he's better than the club at the moment is why people are getting on at him because he's not showing it. We all knew Suarez was too good for us, but he put the effort in till the very last moment, Sterling doesn't even look like he's putting in an effort.

I hope a few of our players look at Gerrard right now and realise exactly what it SHOULD mean to a player to play for Liverpool Football Club.

 

We'll miss Gerrard. A true great. He is going at the right time.

Rodgers is a nice man but he should go too. We are at a tricky and crucial stage. We need someone like Koeman who can buy the right players, build the right team and yes make us punch above our weight.

Otherwise it is a decade of Europa football.

Couldn't have hoped for a better send off for Stevie

 

My plan was to disregard performance and result, and compliment Stevie.

But that performance was THAT bad that I can't let it slide. It was embarrassing - firstly, hopefully everyone can see the defence and midfield need fixing just as much as the attack. We have a couple of clowns in Lovren and Skrtel who are simply awful. Lucas needs to go as well, the lazy tackle at the end is what he does all the time.

Henderson is not good enough to be starting. Bottles it on every occasion and other than working hard and getting up and down the pitch, I can't see what else he brings. He is technically inconsistent and his shooting is erratic. If we buy a competent defender to partner Sakho, then Can can move into midfield instead of Hendo.

I won't say anything about Gerrard.

Sterling will get a lot of criticism today, and rightly so because nothing came off for him. But as with Lallana, I respect players who at least want to get on the ball and try things.

The only brights sparks are Coutinho and Can. Love watching Can play - one of the few players who actually drives this team forward and takes responsibility.

Rodgers is a lucky man - he, and the team will hide behind the fact that it's Stevie's send off but that performance alone is a sackable offence. I'm actually disgusted.
