99% is optimistic! A Hull win and town draw could see us down.

Always going to be a tight game with neither side wanting to give much away.
That's probably the worst www have played in the last 8-9 games, but thankfully it was enough.
Over the moon right now and looking forward to another season in the Prem.
I think you will safe as don't see Hull beating Man Utd next week. Best of luck boys

For all of you apart from this negro guy, some nice comments and for us a perfect result. It'd still take quite a combination of results for you to go down, after some of your results at the end of last season, I fancy you to get a point from those games. Arsenal showed they're beatable at home with Swansea the other day and Chelsea are done now with the title. Good luck with the remaining games

Unbelievable how we have turned things around and achieved safety with a game to spare

I don't think you will go down. Newcastle can't buy a win even against QPR and Hull looked down. So for them both to win next week and you to lose 2 seems highly unlikely IMO

See you next season lads and lets hope we have 2 better games then what we did have

Rather bizarrely having our game in hand against Arsenal may increase Newcastles chances of finishing above us!

I like Leicester and they deserve to stay up. They have been excellent of late. Enjoy your night foxes fans. As long as we don't get stuffed ( which is possible) both hull and Newcastle have to win. would be great if we got a point that ensured our own survival.

Its still in our own hands and I can see us getting at least a point from our last two games which will be enough even if Man U give Hull a boost, but we must play to our maximum in both games to do this. Hawaaay the Laaads.

Don't see Hull winning, Newcastle drawing and us losing 5 on our goal difference.

I agree, I just don't think Hull have a win in them...especially against United.

Maybe they do scrape the win. Long shot but possible.

Who would bet on this Newcastle side to get a point from anywhere?

    Not me.

We are 12/1 to go down, Hull 2/9 and mags 7/1 so looking pretty promising. Hull won't beat Man U but I think we'll get a lucky point of Arsenal anyway, kind of result we are good at

Town draw? With a worse Gd and a point behind us? We're difficult to beat and I'm optimistic we'll stay up now. we have Wednesday to get a point and we want Liverpool to win by a few tonight and put pressure on united who get beat by arse tomorrow by a lot. United then need to at least draw to stay in the cl places!

To be honest I would have settled for this 3 hours ago. We could just as easily have been in the relegation zone at 5pm today. A bit disappointed we didnt win today, but like I say we could have been dependant on a result against Arsenal and/or Chelsea right now.

Just thinking about the worse case scenario! Me personally cannot confidently count on Sunderland's defence. At times this season our defenders have been like lions.....other times they have been like steaming turds. Inconsistant! I admit they seemed to have bucked their ideas up recently but the Palace game was not too long ago so we are always capable of hitting the self destruct button, often when under little pressure. I think getting a royal humping is slightly more likely than getting a battling draw against Arsenal, then throw in a sound defeat against Chelsea then a Newcastle point could prove catastrophic! I basically dont like to count my chickens........

    I'll take it.

Take a massive run of misfortune for us to go down now, I can't see us losing heavily at Arsenal we have defended well recently, if we do lose by the odd goal it leaves a massive advantage.

I'd sooner grab a point midweek, but a 3 point cushion with a shockingly poor team needing to beat United? Yeah, I'll take that.

Well done to Leicester, never deserved to go down, and deserved a point today. We should have won the away game but that's irrelevant.

Hopefully we get a goal in the 2 games next year though, ****ing hell.

Embarrassed for the lad mate, this is not the common consensus, trust me everyone I spoke to at the match, nobody had any bad blood whatsoever towards you lads.
