Had Berra not stopped the ball from going in with his hand, and stayed on the pitch, that could have been quite different. No idea if Town could have kept running everywhere indefinitely to stop us from playing our game, but credit to them for the first 65 minutes or so for battling hard and making life bloody difficult.
you got to be sporting, no dodgy decisions, just 2 sides playing the game to the max. well done, but unfortunately guys i will be cheering boro on, as im sure you would be if the roles reversed. lets just hope no idiots spoil your party.
agree 100%, he's been immense against a big, physical Ipsquit rearguard. And had precious little support, so he's had to do everything pretty much singlehandedly
Correct Though it would have been fun to see you go on and get promoted, just to see how you would fayre next season
Not true - if you had won would have been behind you for playing fair against those time wasting cheats! All credit to your team today!
Not sure I would, actually. That's how much I hate the 'gamesmanship' of teams like Boro. You guys might not play the most beautiful football, but at least McCarthy is a straightforward opponent. Boro are anti-football both in style and sportsmanship.
Got to be the same starting XI at Wembley, hasn't it? I don't think you can fault anyone out there today.
Ipswich were rubbish in both games, not a single shred of quality throughout and in the end our own quality made them give up.
Fair play lads, enjoy your day out at Wembley, a play off final is a great day out, a magnificent stadium with great pubs all around it, enjoy your day!
Think that is a bit harsh. Canaries have better quality undoubtedly, but Town operating on a shoestring compared to Norwich. Anyway good luck in the play-off final I would say that Boro look in very menacing form
