He'll play. No chance Rodgers dropping him and he won't want to miss the last chance to pul on the red shirt. He'll off with 5 minutes to go tomorrow so he can get a huge cheer and probably similar against Stoke.
I was absolutely gutted when Fowler left the first time. Never been remotely close to that level of guttedness for any other player. Although Gerrard's been on the decline for a couple of years now, setting him walk off the pitch will reach similar levels for slightly different reasons tomorrow. Both legends that I am so pleased to have had the pleasure of witnessing, I include Carra in that too #legends
I'll be in ****ing bits I think If Rodgers subs him for an applause I think the opposition players will even applaud him off - will be surreal
theres a bit of a difference. fowler left for a mad offer from leeds and we had owen and knew fowler was toast today gerrard leaves a spent force but no replacement is there but an ego in henderson thinking he can change his game form what he's good at to take all the frees etc. we are the ones who are toast
So that day has arrived the last game at Anfield for Steven Gerrard, a day to remember, a day to look back at all he has done for us. Will we see the likes of Gerrard again? I doubt it very much, football has changed and the determination needed to be a player like Gerrard has gone from the mentality of the young. The titan will walk out onto the hallowed ground once more and recall all the victims he has left scrambling in the dirt. The memories of vital moments throughout the course of career littered with glory will come flooding back to the man himself and all those who worship him. The masses will sing his name and call for more memories, one more tackle, one more pass and of course one more goal. His powers waning but his mind still sharp can he muster one more performance, can he claim one more victim? The crowd awaits their champion.
i mourn not for gerrard all career's past, i mourn for the club who have been in the wilderness for too long and will be wandering further off course now.
A mad offer? It was a **** amount at the time! Rumours had been linking Fowler to a £20m move to Arsenal for ages. We sold him for £11m. We paid that for Emile ****ing Heskey
12 million pounds in 2001 was a pretty damned good price! he was ****ed, his legs were gone .. the world and thier mother knew it.
folwer in the end had knee issues and hip problems... so i reckon while he was still good houllier has his choice with lump heskey and merc owen after all.
A pen is nailed on today. Moss will give you a few free kicks around the box as well. The actual game is going to take a backseat to the Gerrard **** fest
no..... leeds got one season out of him.. they imploded of course but he was toast really. he went to city then but he was not the same player. its like torres.. we got the most fee for him and he wasn't the same player again
There have been many over the years. The leveller against West Ham in 2006 has to be my favourite. I went absolutely mental! The absolute end of an era. I'm 27 so the likes of Fowler were my earliest memories but Steve has been there growing up and into adulthood. Against teams we were underdogs to you knew you always had a chance with him in the team. 2006-2009 are my favourite times as a Liverpool fan. Legend!
