Spot on James. From the moment he arrived he oozed class. He's learned to tackle properly and developed his reading of the game superbly. I am actually amazed that no clubs have fought harder to sign him. I am full of admiration at his attitude and behaviour this year. He wobbled with that tweet last summer, but he's a young man and he quickly regained his control and composure as he does on the pitch. I have spent years telling United fans he is just what they need to replace Carrick and Arsenal fans that he is their missing piece, but now I think he is what Real Madrid need. He'd be a good addition to PSG and Barca too. I spoke to him once and he is a really unassuming man. I spoke to him in my broken French and he was genuinely grateful that I made the effort to do that. Top player, too man. It would have been great if he'd stayed here for his entire career, but always unlikely in these modern times. No grudges from me (unless it's Spuds). I actually blame Jen. If she'd pinned him down to marriage by now, he'd never want to leave the area and would have three little Schneiderlings running round the New Forest.
I agree about having no ill will, but will never admit anyone is too good for Saints....too expensive, yes, but never too good. Saints
