It looks very much like I will not be seeing my beloved Hull City on Sky next season so what are the alternatives? I used to tune into Radio Humberside but this was stopped suddenly. Dazza put his own broadcast site up but was told to take it down shortly after. I have heard of "City Player" or something which costs a moderate amount to join but after hearing complaint after complaint that they couldn't tune in to it or that it was not broadcast or the broadcast was terrible, I am not too keen. What are the options next season should we be relegated? I normally use the ESPN 'Text' commentary but would prefer a voice.
It wasn't that bad, I think it was down once. You also get a full replay of the game on the Monday if you can be arsed to watch it when you already know the story.
Hopefully being an ex premier league team if we go down we will have the pull of a few sky games early on depending who we are playing (Local derbies, newly promoted sides against us). I know we are never really on sky that much anyway but it's something to potentially look for on the odd occasion
Tiger Player has been much better this season. It's been much more reliable. It's not really expensive. You get the entire RH broadcast. Unfortunately, it means I get to hear the whole of the irrelevant conversations between Burnsy and Swanny. These take up 60% of the match. Then again, I'm only interested in City so if they commentate for the 40% of the match that we have the ball, that's not too bad. In the Championship, they'd have to do more work as we would have more of the ball. I don't think it was on for the away games in the Europa League but I could be wrong on that.
Yes, you've just jogged my memory. I remember them talking about the colour of football boots whilst the game was going on when one of them said "Oh, he's scored"! I'm not that into Aussie Rules but the commentators really bring the game to you as it happens and they usually work in pairs. We often hear "That's a brilliant mark" and the other will say "Who was it"? to get the reply "****ed if I know"!
Tigers player is only a couple pounds. It isn't as bad as we all say you just have to learn to live with all the pie talk and what burnsy did the night before.
Tiger Player will be your best bet Laurie if we don't stay up. And you can watch the video replay of games for only a fiver a month. As Kellen says just block your ears to some of the aggravating repetitiveness from Swanny. I still think we can beat Spurs and manage to stay up against Man U reserves.
Pies; the woman on the row in front; the size of the press box; something that happened 20 years ago; the colour of Swanny's shoes/coat/shirt. All of that and commentary. That's quite good value. You do also get the video highlights and the worthless previews of the upcoming matches.
