That sounds a load of bollocks anarl, I can't speak for John Terry (though I suspect he's an uber ****) I found Frank Lampard to be as down to earth bloke that you'd ever meet. My local in the early 90's was often frequented by Scunny players; one afternoon Lee Hodges best mate, Frank Lampard, was up from London visiting him, they spent an afternoon in the pub playing pool and darts with the regulars - nothing flash or stand offish from any of them.

I suspect if this taxi driver had some stories of the Allams been **** tippers, kicking cats etc it would be held up as gospel on here in every post.

My mates cousin is a taxi driver and he said a certain local businessman and philanthropist got in his car the other day.

Refused to pay a penny of the fare and left a Richard the Third on his back seat as a tip. He then keyed the poor ****ers taxi as it drove off.

Not saying it's true, it's just what I've been told.

That's why I've added it to the thread! Taxi drivers say and do the opposite to everything! " thanks drive just here on the left? Oh ok the right then? "

    Taxi Driver?

Great Film. One of De Niro and Scorsese's best.

Sadly I don't know much gossip about it.

We already know he's a **** though don't we? No need for gossip when he announces it all himself.

I'd go and read the Nth Ferriby thread to see what an utter **** you and plenty of others made of themself. I'd then take Charlie's advice on board.

If you want to discuss it with me on that thread I'll happily do so.

But you won't will you. You'd rather just stick to your usual comfort zone of 'I'm right, you're wrong na na'.

Whats to discuss. Olm posted utter bullshit with his usual agenda. You being the lap dog lapped it up. The whole thread was an embarassment. Yet you are still too stupid to realise what an arse you made of yourself.

I demanded a cab driver dropped me off early the other week. Deliberately taking the longest, most unnecessary route he could, turning off at every opportunity to bump the meter up.

I said "Let me out here, and this is all you're getting!" and I stormed out.

I hope I gave him a lesser fair, but I was about 9 pints down the line and just clutched a handful of brass. Could've been any amount.

    Alas, my point was made.

These scheming twats are playing this trick more and more often, and it needs nipping in the bud.

Thought not!! ****ing hell you have this vision you're this great debater. No one can debate anything with you as you're too much of a zealot to listen, think and reflect. no Allams a **** and thats the end of it. You want to believe anything and olms happy to oblige.

I got a cab after a night out and as we got near home, I started rummaging in my pockets for change. The drivers face was a picture when I asked him to pullover and back up a bit, because I've just seen the meter and I haven't enough money for this far.

It wasn't much, and I did offer to take it to him the next day, but he saw the funny side, and realised it was a genuine drunk mistake on my part and took me the rest of the way anyway in exchange for what I had.

wish I'd never mentioned it to be honest but let me explain the situation and then you can make your own mind up.

First of all, my source is coming from a woman in her fifties. Whether that gives it more credibility or less will be based on your views of women I guess.

She asked me if she thought we had any chance of staying up. I said that it doesn't look good, and that my main frustration will not be premier league football, but the fact that half the team will likely leave.
To which she offered her tale which went something like this....
"I know... Well my friend is the driver for the taxi firm that the club uses and he gets to drive four or five of the players on a regular basis...

what I don't know therefore is if there is an inkling of truth in this gossip as to whether this was two players chatting to each other while a driver they see on a regular basis is present, or whether this is seperately points made between individual players and the driver on different journeys.

Anyway back to the tale... "No Huddlestone and Livermore have said they won't be staying around to play championship football..."

Note on this point, these are the only players she named but the other points may gave been attributed to other players....I'm just hypothesising of course....anyway.....

"Yes, after the burnleys game they think they're going down...."

To which came the random point that was thrown in (that women tend to do when their mind wanders)...

"And they weren't happy Bruce was offered a new contract, they hoped he was going to get the push"

It was really this bit of the gossip was the reason I decided to post because i assumed like most people that Bruce is a good manager to work for.

Now yes I didn't particularly interrogate the woman as she probably didn't have much more detail to give but I thought it was credible as she was claiming to be friends with the driver himself.

Anyway it was gossip.... I assume the driver does exist and I've no reason to disbelieve that this gossip did not come directly from the driver to this woman. I don't know this woman socially but it would be an odd thing to make done thing up completely out the blue just to make small talk.

I hope it is bullshit because if it isn't, it suggests the players are already making alternative plans rather than trying to defy the odds.

To the earlier posters point about rosie, I wouldn't expect any player at the club to tell a fan anything different than what he said.
