Hate all that shirt number bollocks. Players that have to be registered for the league should have to have numbers 1-25, they can be superstitious and preference between those numbers.

They have numbers 25+ or the spare numbers left as clubs rarely register a full 25 man squad made up of over 21s and often pad their squads out with u21s to meet the homegrown quota.

And anyway its a shirt number, its not all that important. They are there so the referee can identify them

Honestly I woudl like to see him playing at Goodison...for Everton. He is low cost and does know how to finish. He had some little injuries this season that held him back

  10. But you'd be happy with Aspas, Borini or Shane Long too <whistle>

To honour Gerrez because he is leaving as moderator Borini should wear the same number Gerrez wears
    in Sunday (no-league football)<applause>

    Whoever gets our number eight
will surely be a victim of fate
maybe Rodgers' tactics which are second rate
or perhaps he'll perform well right out of the gate
and find in our midfield one or two new soul mates
a style of play that's really ornate
so our strikers have chance after chance on a plate
and Anfield becomes a brand new police state
where only the opposition's defeat lies in wait
but why are we fans always having to debate
and throw theories around like groundbait
about transfer business that happens too late
its not really that difficult to conjugate
just look at the eighties and recreate

Maybe we should go back to shirt numbers 1-11 - no choice you play your position number, that'd sort it.

  16. Would love to see it that way again but there is too much money in shirt sales with squad numbers

yes you are right. there is too much money is names on shirts by far.

I don't mind it par se if we did not have ****eholes demanding legandary player numbers and looking stupid

No player in their right mind should take no 8.

no 7 is still dalglish's number. Suarez did well but the carp before that was a joke

LFC have not had no 9 since torres. carroll was a bad joke

  19. Unless number four was available, I'd take number eight without hesitation. Couldn't give a monkeys who had it before.

which is a perfract example of the lunatics out there who'd need saving from themselves.

My view is NEW players should be made wear a high number for a year and earn thier 1-11 shirt.

Start messi off on no 44 and then move him to no 7 after a year if he meets our needs.
