Nice to see some footballers using Twitter in a good way. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-suffolk-32686659
30 years ago today 56 fans went to celebrate their team's title success...but tragically never returned. Sometimes the Bradford fire is forgotten due to other tragedies but they shouldn't be. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leeds-32686602
Really want to see an Stevenage vs Wycombe final in the D2 playoffs, preferably with Chris Day injured in the semi so we get the spectacle of a 56 year old Dave Beasant in another wembley final (Sam is recovering from an op)...
Absolute cracker at Swindon, although Garner and Beckford must be looking forward to being up against either of these defences if they play like this at Wembley.
You wouldn't want to be at Swindon tonight if you had a weak heart. 5-5 and nine minutes of added time.
Marotta showed some level of self control there when he scored - others would have been cartwheeling all over the pitch!
Southend player just chipped a last minute penalty onto the bar which would have taken them through! Going to look like a right wally if Stevenage get through. Edit: Looks like his team-mates will bail Corr out.
Leagues 1 and 2 see third and fourth place teams into their respective finals. Wonder if Middlesbrough and Norwich will do the same for the Championship. IN Dave's absence - good luck Norwich
This latest bit of new from Hull isn't going to help them.. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...ake-Livermore-tests-positive-for-cocaine.html
I may have this wrong but I was under the impression that cocaine is a performance inhibitor. If this is the case, then why is it banned? I can understand the club sacking a player for being tested positive, but what has it to do with the football authorities?
It depends on the dosage. Low doses increase both alertness and arousal, whereas higher doses often lead to unwarranted aggression . I can see why both of those would have the authorities, and other players, worried.
As BB says it is indeed a performance enhancer... heightened awareness and self belief. Mrs HF says he was hyper v Arsenal and got subbed at half time having been booked later than he should have been trying to kick Ramsey in particular off the park.
