When I was playing, when it was cold, we would have a pie and bovril at half time to keep warm. Would love to see that happen <laugh>

Hope everyone has fab holidays. I think the KP situation is pathetic! Grown men behaving like playground children is daft beyond words. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face! Who could imagines men could behave thar way. I'm sure no men on our board could!

Thanks H, I will heading south this afternoon, stopping off for the night about halfway between here and the Med. Given up looking at the weather forecast, it has changed since last night. A whole new set of restaurants to seek out and try. :emoticon-0100-smile

In these more health conscious times it would be a salad sandwich - without the bread... Although i bet there's still one or two that would be putting a call in to Greggs...

Sunday mornings when there is just a golf course between you and the North Sea Dan, salads, even now, are not an option in December and January mate <laugh>

We have a lot of workers making industrial inaction. Some medical type staff and district lawyers who have not been working from april, the SGS is not working nexrt week for two days and then from 27 mai with no enr, nurses from 27 mai. Also LÍV, VR and Flóabandalagið between 29 mai and 3 jún and again on 6 jún.

There will be no air travel, public transport on the land and sea, no hotel staff, food sales or producting, hospital workers and more.

These are all after failed salary raise demands.

The main learned language is english followed by dansk then spanish. German has dropped one place to four and the fimmta is french.

Morning all. The headline on the front of the JEP yesterday was a proposed overhaul of the education system including changing term dates, French being taught in primary schools from when the children start there and changing the length of the school day. Not sure how the second of these would work, especially as we would still have to fit in with the GCSE and A level time frames. The only thing I can think of is we will change to a version of the Baccalaureate. There is also a proposal to learn more about the island. I didn't get the paper so I'm not sure of the full story.

Edit: I just found it on the JEP website: http://jerseyeveningpost.com/news/2...ry-on-the-curriculum-and-more-nursery-spaces/
