My mother is a management consultant and my stepfather is a chartered accountant.
My father is a pharmacist and my stepmother is a dentist.

They all had to work from the bottom. Just because things worked out for them, it does not mean it has worked out for millions of other people across the UK.

I am well aware of what hard work can do, but the government are stripping away the rights of people who want to reap the benefits of their own hard work and taking opportunities away for young people.

It's okay for you though. You're already rich and don't want to help anyone else.

This whole concept of individualism is precisely why we're in such a mess.

You have 'stated' something several times so I must be wrong? Twat!
I oppose anarchism so I am akin to Mussolini? Twat!
You think the state owes you a living? You need to get some self respect. Twat!
Those tax dodgers are still putting infinitely more into the country's economy than you and your fellow beggars. Twat!
Some disabled beggars are genuinely disabled, but hundreds of thousands are not. Twat!

You are a twat and as for questioning my status as a human being. If the choice is to be like you scrounging twats or remain as i am , I'm quite content as I am :)

"Twat" "Twat" "Oh you're a massive twat" "Twat"

Yeah that's it you just continue to carry on living in your own little world and continue to wonder why the country is such a mess.

Rather than deal with the issue, why not blame immigrants and the disabled instead? Because they are the real villains in society! <doh>

Are they? I thought it was mummy's boys like you that think they are grown up when they try to play Wolfie Smith without knowing **** all about the real world.

Go get some dirt under your finger nails and sweat on your back from a day's work, then come back and talk sense.

I don't think you're in a position to tell anyone else that they should be living in the real world when you have no clue yourself, you self-righteous condescending scum bag.

Ahh I see, so of course because I've worked since I was 17, have had at least 1 job, sometimes 2 or 3 constantly since, except for a 2 month period when I couldn't find a job after graduating uni. I donate, pay taxes, and have empathy and compassion for my fellow human beings. So I. Your twisted world that makes me a beggar.

    FAIL!!!

This has been one of the best threads on this forum and its not even been football related! Good to hear that my fellow Gooners are a rational and good natured bunch, well some.

What we must not forget is that we are a fortunate bunch here, most of us are living comfortably but this is not the case for a lot of people around the world. They have to work hard to scrape a living and still not have enough to eat on a daily basis. There is enough resources and wealth for the entire world to live well, lets not be greedy and just think about ourselves, as one day, we could be one of the less fortunate.

That's surprising, with such an honest, moral man of integrity at the top...

Because the Labour Party never have any in fighting, it's not like Gordon Brown took over as an un-elected PM due to internal party pressure (only for rumours of him being overthrown from within to appear) and Ed never took his brothers job (only for rumours of unrest and not thinking he was good enough to surface) and there not about to go to war with each other to see who will take over as leader <whistle>

The big question is did UKIP meet its targets? The Conservatives got into power with a majority vote, now no one can stand opposed to them. Lets see what they spin now...

There will be a referendum on the UK's membership of the EU by 2017.I believe we will vote to remain as members of the EU,after which there will be no need for UKIP's existence. It will then be interesting to see if UKIP puts up any candidates in the 2018 European elections, why would anyone then vote for a party who are against Europe but will do as they do now which is **** all whilst filling their pockets. After 2018 UKIP will slip into oblivion just like the SDP.Farage will end up like a modern day Dr David Owen.

I meant that its not surprising that a 'civil war'/arguments have started seeing as Farage promised to step down if he didn't get elected, got really shirty when asked if he'd definitely step down, and then when he didn't step down, surprisingly he changed his mind and didn't step down.

I imagine it's annoyed a few people in his party, and undermined the parties credibility.

Very much agree with this. This was UKIP's opportunity and they didnt really pull it off. After the referendum -whichever way it swings- there will be no central plank for them to campaign for. I am also wondering whether the SNP may not hold on for as long as they think. Rumours are that the Tories will call their bluff and hand over full fiscal control immediately instead of the phased approach favoured by the SNP (and paid for by Westminster). If so, this would create a massive hole in the Scottish economy. I wouldnt wish it upon them and I would prefer to keep the union but they were making enemies of the tories before the election and that may come back and bite them on their collective posteriors.

Farage loves Question Time. They never really put him on the spot and he spins it to make it look like the "Leftie BBC" are out to get him.
He puts on his Bloke Down The Pub persona and plays the game very well.
He'll end up back with the Tories in a few years, if he's still in politics.
