Just realised last Saturday was my last as a passholder (after over 30 years)....I had forgotten that when I get back from Le Mans on Monday or Tuesday that we fly off to Italy for 16 days on Friday so I'll miss the Manchester United game..........end of an era
well done for your support for over 30 years it wont be the same in an half full stadium but that's life I will renew mine what ever league we are in and hope better times come again in the near future, filey the other day said he was looking forward to next season which ever league we are in because he looks forward and enjoys Saturdays and after reading his post I thought yes I can go along with that, I would prefer us to be winning and hoped we would stay up but if not then hopefully I will enjoy the Yorkshire derby games again, cheaper away prices and most of all a better atmosphere between owner or new owners who knows ? and the fans what are left. If I am honest I don't know what to do with myself on a Saturday when the season finishes so going the full year would drive me crazy all I can say is keep your interest and have a great time in Italy
Sorry NFT, I didn't get why it will be your last season. Is it the namechange, the cost? Or something else?
The atmosphere with the owners can't get any worse (or can they?). Well done on renewing your pass. I believe you are a better man than me for forgiving all the **** he has thrown at the fans. You are a true fan. Me...I thought I was a true fan but i have willingly walked away at one of the most successful times in our history. I must be the opposite of a glory hunter
Two of us not renewing, I've had a pass every season for the last 35 years. I will only renew once Allam goes as I've enjoyed very few moments over the last two seasons. If name doesn't change we will likely do a few away games but that's all.
A rather silly comment I don't blame them , if you went to a restaurant and was told you are irrelevant you wouldn't go back so why should football be above everybody's principals
Spot on On saying that, I respect everyone's decision as I have no right to tell others how (or on what) they should spend their cash.
Think we should all do what we want to do. For me we are still Hull City. The name has not changed. So there is no reason for me to stop going. Im not bothered what AA says or doesnt say...He is irrelevant....i go to support Hull City not an owner or a manager. If the name changes i wont go. I wonder if your going to be going next season OLM. Thats not a dig i just wondered if you will still go...I hope you do...sad when people think its not worth going anymore. Course everyone is entitled to do what they Want to do Just found out that a bloke i often talk to on the coach from filey has died yesterday. Heart Attack Must have been late 70s . Tragic really as going to home games was about the only thing he enjoyed and he wont know if we stayed up now
It depends what happens, I fully expect the name change to be rejected again, so I still expect us to be Hull City next season. I suppose it's just down to what else happens to irritate me between now and next season.
I had surgery on my back late last year which meant for the first time in many years I missed a few home & away games. During that time I realised that I did not miss what supporting the club had become....the name change, the treatment of the fans by the owners, the influx of fans of the Premiership rather than Hull City.....the overall matchday experience has become tainted. It is for those reasons that the 4 passes in our house are not being renewed........I never thought I would see the day when watching Hull City, which has been part of our lives for so many years would actually become almost a chore as we have fallen out of love with football in the Premiership. Will I ever buy a pass again ? Who knows, but not while there is the name of Allam as owners & never if we become known as Hull Tigers.
The fact that I continued to buy a pass under those two should give an indication as to how fed up we are of this regime.
Its the opposite for me NFT. I missed nearly 5 seasons because of health stuff...i hated it and thought i would never get to another game Im not going to miss any more because of a stupid owner Loved this season because i have managed to get back to going to away games. Been a great season for me
That's a bugger about your mate, Filey. I'm undecided on what I'm doing, if the name changes I'm definitely done, if he stays and were relegated I'm pondering ****ing my pass off and just doing certain away games, then I get to thinking that I don't want to lose my vote (if we ever get one of course).
I wish those people that have felt the call, or had enough, or were guided by a celestial light into not renewing and not supporting the club because of whatever, would stop posting endless reams of self pity online and leave the club to the people who do want to carry on going, regardless. We get it, you feel a loss, it's sad, but stop ****ing going on about it and just go ffs. There's a whole big wide world out there, go enjoy it. The club will carry on just fine with or without you. Everything will carry on with or without you. Choose what you want to do and do it. Just stop making out the world is ending over your decisions, it isn't. Almost every whiny post about this boils down to a reason such as health, or wealth, but it then gets dressed up with "Oh and the way the Allams treat me" or "Oh and yes, the name change thing tipped the balance". Just stop it ffs.
Nothing to do with health (I'm better than I have been for years, a break just opened my eyes) Nothing to do with wealth (Just retired early with a very healthy bank balance, new motorbike, trips to 3 overseas MotoGP events booked & paid for Le Mans & Imola this month & Aragon in September)
