You need to be on the pitch to score goals.....Rom has been on the pitch while Sturridge gets his airmiles boosted with surgery trips. So Rom has followed his lead in going backwards
Indeed there is a huge difference, that being, that one of them has Weetabix legs and has managed to be availabe for less than 60% of league games during his entire time at his club.
If I had to choose between Lukaku and Sturridge to be my main striker then I'd go with Lukaku. If you opt for Sturridge you're effectively opting for Balotelli. Or Lambert. Or playing without a striker. A False Striker or an Invisible Forward as Brendan might say. Which would be brulliant.
If I had to go back to the start of the season and choose Sturridge or Lukaku I'd still choose Sturridge. No striker is better than 10 men and no striker.
Thats why Liverpool crashed out of the CL with one win against European giants......ermmmmm Ludogorets Razgrad
He's scored 9 league goals. Are Young Boys in the PL? Lambert, Balotelli, Sturridge and Borini have scored 8 between them.
