http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-14109109 Why should the police apologise for the way flags were removed during a parade? This is no excuse for the violence seen in Ballyclare at the weekend and by apologising it gives the appearance that the police were at fault. "They bear no blame for what happened on Saturday night. The blame lies entirely with those who caused fear and mayhem in Ballyclare," he [Justice Minister David Ford] said. Well said Minister. The blame lays firmly and squarely with those who caused the violence.
Police removing flags and arresting kids for collecting for bonfires is just asking for trouble. I can understand if they are removing paramilitary flags but Northern Irish and union flags is silly. I'm sure there will be trouble all over the country tomorrow night. If both sides of the community are going to live side by side peacefully they will have to learn to accept each other and their culture that they celebrate.
It should be illegal to fly any flag on public property in NI. Putting those flags up outside a Catholic Church was done for one reason only. Those Bonfires should be banned too. They are hate filled events. Burning someones national flag is a crime. Culture for Sectarian organisations to march through an area populated by people that that organisation actively discriminate against? No Medro, it is not the 1950s. If that is your culture then it reflects rather poorly on you. This kind of thing is in its death throes thankfully.
Just because it is asking for trouble doesnt mean it is wrong, the troublemakers are wrong. The ulster flag is not an official flag so falls into the same category as the paramilitary ones i am afraid. The 12th of July aint culture. It was started by the OO when it was founded as a paramilitary in the late 1800s
I think we should break all ties with the whole of the island, let them fight it out and whoever wins can run their country any way they want without any interference from the British.
I'm not blaming anyone. I just say cut all ties, let you lot get on with it as one united country and whoever wins, wins.
there is a march at 5 am or something a couple of hundred yards from casa del RebelBhoy (contrary to popular belief, I live in a nice area in a nice house). Purposefully done that way to avoid bother. There are no bonfires, no trouble, no nothing. those are the kind of bigots that are ok.... considerate ones. They hate you but wouldn't want to inconvenience you.
Of course sectarianism is totally a one way thing isn't it? Never once did a catholic show any sectarianism. They are as bad as one another. Republicans hate the British but are happy to draw their dole.
where to start? so when is the anti-protestant festival? Republicans don't hate the British, they hate occupation as for the dole thing, well, Republicans pay taxes to the British treasury, nobody told me I could opt out.

Judging by the size and strength of the IRA arsenal first time around ( daresay they would have the ability to rearm to a similar extent) and the fact that the British Army were unable to effectively combat them militarily (the IRA campaign was undone by the level of infiltration by informants) , i wouldn't hold out much hope for a loyalist victory.
So all the GAA flags and tricolours should be made illegal too? That's nonsense. You and I both know it. What areas are you talking about? If we are to accept each others communities would it not be an acceptable thing to ask the men to walk silently down such flash points. Who would it harm? If no one were to turn up at these places then it would be over in minutes rather than days of petrol bombing and rioting. We are all part of the same community, why can't we just get along?
Not according to recent studies. Most republicans in N.I actually would prefer to stay within the United Kingdom. Did you not see that headline on the Irish News?
That same poll (you call it a study) you cite also put the SDLP as the largest Nationalist party....but I didn't see any headlines about that....maybe because that would have shown the study to be deeply and fundamentally flawed. Also, the poll referred to Catholics...not Republicans. Once again highlighting your simple sectarian approach to Irish politics.
He told you...Public property. If we are to accept each others communities why would you join or support an organisation whose primary purpose is to not accept each others communities? Another oxymoron from a mixed up bigot would it not be easier for these bigots just to march round in a field, or failing that, stop being bigots and don't do it at all. Should the KKK be allowed to march through Harlem?.....as long as it is in silence? would you then condemn the residents of Harlem for getting rather irritated by their presence? would you blame the residents of Harlem for creating discord in the community? because the Orange Order perpetuate their sectarian and bigoted agenda. The working class Unionists are kept stupid and readily accept the received wisdom that it is "us and them". But of course, you'd rather blame those who are provoked instead of those causing the problem in the first place.
