    Earlier this month, we pointed out that the name-change application process was likely to drag on until July, and called on Hull City to make arrangements for season card sales to fit around this process.

    Media reports yesterday indicate that this is indeed the case, as the new application will not be heard at the May FA council meeting and there is no scheduled FA Council meeting in June. It is completely unacceptable to expect fans to make such a significant financial commitment without knowing what team they’ll be supporting. To do this would be an insult to the supporters who provide the strongest financial support to the club.

    We re-iterate that Hull City must deal with this situation they’ve created and either

    – provide a written guarantee of refunds on season cards for those supporters who want them in the event that the name changes;

    or

    – extend the deadline for season card renewals at the current price until such time that the FA decision has been made.

    sensible other than its blatantly obvious that the supporters do not provide the 'strongest financial support' to the club; though this could have greater implications in The Championship which in itself is another reason for the club to reconsider. As it stands existing season ticket holders are being asked to commit to their existing passes a day before we will know for sure what league we'll playing in next season!!!!!

    I can't help think part of the Allams logic is that people to renewing will pay on the day for several games. The price increases will buffer a 2 - 3000 drop in sales, with a drop of more being buffered by those choosing to pay on the day.

    Surely a 6% price increase will only cover a 6% drop in season ticket sales, which is around 1,000.

    Their problem comes with the matchday pricing in the Championship, the matchday pricing will have to be approaching £30 a game to justify the season ticket prices(I still expect the price increase to be scrapped on relegation, but the matchday tickets will still be getting on for £30 each).

    I will NOT be renewing my season card until I know the name of the team that the club is asking me to support.
