Current players are going to be solicited (via) their agents if they have potentials. This is also a cost.

You've slipped from 42nd to 57th from this season to next.

there is a reason for that though...

there's years with no europe in the numbers. our 10/11 season falls out for example and we only then have 2 seasons in europe out of 5.

everton have increated as they added a european campaign to their coefficent.

thats what I am saying too.

But what I am also saying is that to perform you need to get a seeding. to get a seeding you need to play in europe so we've seen how had its been for city to get a decent perofrmance in europe.. why? **** ass seeding. way back in the day wenger could not get out of a CL group why... no seeding.

For me the point is you have to crawl before you walk and taking the europae seriously week in and week out will grow your co-efficient, give you a better squad and more player exposure too boot. I acknowledge fully that if we were winning every game i nthe CL its be great and all that but.....

in the end.... we are not are we so we have to act like a big club and go work for it. Not be like spurs chasing cars on the sid eof the road and not knowing what to do with it when you catch it.

This is why it's not a disaster to miss out on the CL. Our squad is still not ready to compete on all fronts

Neither is Man Utd's, which is why it will be funny watching Van Gaal get #owned

Hopefully the EL can raise up the younger and less experienced parts of our squad without being too much of a distraction from the PL, for example no Coutinho in the EL games

I would expect that we will have quite a few players capable of kicking about in the europa midweek

    jones... muck
    wisdom.. rodgers doesn't rate
enrique might be back or not
    ilori would like a game
    lovern will be 3rd choice
    Allen... muck
    Lallana... one trick
    Alberto.. might be back
    Origi... needs games
    ibe.. needs games

In fact i'd say we just need milner to captain this dross.... should win every group game and then see where we are in january.

The league cup will be also played by this muck

The money comes in handy! <whistle> But even if we don't do so well, practice makes perfect. You want to get the experience of playing the top teams as well as playing a different type of football. In actual size, we are the fourth biggest club in the country so there should be an expectation for us to be in there. If we qualify for the Europa, weve got to take it seriously or what's the point. We'll keep getting beaten if we play our youngsters and defeats are demoralising. Better to give our first team more experience of European football so that when we get into the CL we don't fook it up like we did this season.

Next season, like all seasons, the minimum objective of the manager and team should be to get into the CL. It will be damn difficult but it has got to be done. We have broken into the top 4 and nearly got the title and we can do it again as long as our manager whoever he is does a decent job.

  12. In what 'size'...? And who are the three above us? Obviously Man Utd and I'm guessing Arsenal too although I'm not sure. Chelsea or Man City...?

If you look at modern key indicators cheslea are certainly bigger than us... most worldwide "fans" most online presence and following... yadayada.. blah lbah... any way you cut it LFC fans better get off that high horse big club stuff and see the reality... we need to work to get to the top. cheslea are bigger than us. arsneal are probably bigger than us and certinly have more money. utd are much bigger... city is debateable.

Right now my thinking is the biggest work having to be done this summer is at city. I think arsenal have a decent set up, utd have lots of players and will spend, cheslea are champions... city have the older squad, losing yaya and are reliant on silva and aguero who are geat but get injured a lot. IF they don't work a bit harder and spend big they are the ones who will be 4th

The CL TV revenue more or less doubles next season, it'll re-inforce the gap that used to exist between the CL clubs and the rest, that closed somewhat with the bloated domestic TV deals in recent years.

Knowing the points for European rankings are not much different I would welcome a FP place in the EL now

Kone will be getting loads of games when Lukaku goes<ok>

I don't think I could handle the shame of EL football from not commiting enough fouls
