Disappointing. I personally like them both, and I understand why Strauss isn't one of KP's biggest fans. However, he is still our best batsman.

 

Well that is just stupid, you need to put personal differences aside. Strikes me of early nineties déjà vu when Gooch would not pick Gower as he did not rate his work ethic although he was the best batsmen by a long way. Pick your best players and manage them, that is the role of a manager/coach!

 

Boo...I wanted to see Pieterson again. Just proves how you should be careful who you tread on.

Trouble with selecting KP again is that many others in the current dressing room find him difficult to rub along with. No doubting the talent but its a team game. Maybe they should have fired most of the current team and built a different team around KP, but that would never happen. It sure is a shame.

 

Those same players who were 35-5 against the West Indies second team. Dismal in the World Cup, then maybe they do need to drop a few of the ordinary players, and build the team around Root, Butler, and Pietersen

 

It will be interesting to see what happens if New Zealand give us a thrashing.
