What a load of bollocks. We were relegated weeks ago. The only remaining question has been what the date would be! The club isn't run to Premier league standards and that is why we don't ever stay there very long. You can discuss the whys and the wherefores all you like, that's why you come on the forum but don't be slating someone for wanting a bit of lightheartedness at the same time. Nobody died, all that happened was that the inevitable day arrived and put us out of our misery! I will take Newcastle at home as at least that means they went down to and we have been spared the wrath of the powers that be!
thanks for your reply 9's......maybe you should have posted this before instead of questioning, am I for ****ing real!!! no need for that, this is a forum for all and we should all be entitled to our own views, opinions, and indeed, emotions......assuming of course all the aforementioned fall in line with the general consensus eh! Hmmm.
No need for naming calling......yet again. Just grow up!! Look, no one has died have they? QPR got relegated and it has been on the cards for a long time. So? It's not as if it's just come out the blue. Why cannot someone look forward, without getting flack? It's a mystery.
Let's just drop this tonight. We are all a bit raw...Some of have drunk too much...I certainly have. Why fight amongst ourselves..we are going to have enough problems tomorrow at work. Good luck everyone...there will be a lot of"funny" remarks and snide comments
Just take the high ground Ute's, knowing you're not a glory boy and that you are unique in your choice of team. You're not one of the crowd like that lot! Have a good day mate and don't let the bar stewards grind you down!
We wasn't relegated weeks ago. We were relegated today. Although I agree that it was practically inevitable. When it eventually happens it bloody hurts, no matter how prepared you were for it. I've invested a lot of emotion into the R's over the years and the relegation suffered after today's game was tough to take. My comments on this thread were a result of that rawness. I haven't a clue who you are or if you're even an R's fan but you obviously haven't seen Aqualung's flippant comments about our demise over the last few days. As is often mooted when a football fan's team loses, he goes home and kicks the dog. cont........ .... Aqualung was the metaphorical dog. Please accept my apologies aqua. I do not intend to make a saga out of this.
Lifelong R's fan nines ever saw I watched Rodney in the first game my Dad took me to. Lifelong sufferer and never ever wavered. Feel the pain as much as everyone and the dog goes in to hiding trust me. But old enough and seen enough of Rangers in recent times to know that it has to be put into perspective. Well done on your apology, respect to you sir. BTW this relegation doesnt come anywhere even close to losing the Cup Final replay!
Yes indeed aqua. I know it's not the case with you but I hurt for days following a defeat. I should of got used to it by now but there you go. Mad or what? And in keeping with the intent of your thread I'll go for Bristol City's Ashton Gate as my away fixture. Brighton's a great stadium but it's miles from Brighton and miles from anywhere actually.
He may support Chelsea but he is a sound bloke. Most Mondays during this season I get greeted at work to the sound of "Ha Ha Ha" so I'm used to it and I'm very thick skinned
I never realised that you were an 'R' stick. I noticed that you had loads of posts but as you're not a regular on here I thought you were a fan of someone else. I now see that you're mainly on this site for the gee gees. I've been going since '68 although I was only two at the time. You'd think I'd have wisened up by now mate. If you've been going as long as you have and I've been going as long as I have our paths must of unknowingly crossed at some stage. The Cup Final replay hurt lots, but in a strange way the Milk Cup defeat hurt more for me. I think I'd put the title loss to Liverpool in '76 at the top of the pain table though. I was ten years old and I can still remember laying in my bed sobbing my eyes out that night. There we go... group hugs is much better than fighting among ourselves.
Shame you guys are going down to be honest. I know there is no love lost between our sides, but its always a special occasion when we play each other Hopefully the Football League doesn't screw you too hard and you get back up here soon as. Good luck for next season.
....right back to the question. So far in 39 posts, we've had Brighton and Brizzle City only. Any other sensible contributions to who you would like first Championship game next season?
