It was just a few rows behind me in the North Stand. Just my impression of course, but it looked like folks were applauding and the fellow not the stewards.
By the way I don't like or agree with Allam or his running of our football club, I'm just a realist be careful what you wish for!
Oh here we go, the old "be careful what you wish for" line. Well I'm not being careful what i wish for. I want the Allams out. If the result of that (which it won't be) is City plummeting down through the leagues then so be it. So you and everyone else who says it can stick your "be careful what you wish for" right up your arses.
i wouldn't predict non league football but then again before Allam stepped in I wouldn't of predicted premier league football again either!
It's from Twitter, so the usual caveats apply, but it seems he wasn't thrown out for the banner, but for continuing foul and abusive language, having been warned several times before it.
Shouldn't you move all these flag and banner posts into the thead started by Fez yesterday / this morning rather than cluttering up other important threads.
He certainly could. He could be someone just making mischief.. A look at his other tweets seem to suggest that's unlikely. That's Twitter for you. The picture on the thread seems to show no flag while the steward's talking to him though.
I recall Peterborough fans not being allowed a protest banner into the stadium, and a Hartlepool lass being thrown out for joining in some banter and flashing her bra. I was more just offering the comment that claims it wasn't for the banner as was suggested, to see if anyone on here was near enough to it to know the truth.
Just wondered if away fans had been ejected for bad language as the policy has always seemed to be let away fans do what they want, including ripping up seats without hindrance, whilst hassling City fans. Last season my lad took the grandson to the Villa game and was in the row nearest the Villa fans. A group of Villa fans came out with a non stop tirade of obscenities without the stewards batting an eyelid. One City fan shouted **** off once at them and was grabbed by some stewards with the police joining in and bundled out.
The full picture shows the flag is in his left hand as the steward's talking to him. Doesn't mean he wasn't swearing though.
