United might field youngsters in last game..... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...-youngsters-chance-splashing-cash-summer.html
They did that in the very same fixture on our first ever Premier League season, and dominated the game, winning 1-0. It might make a difference, it might not. If they do play the kids and fringe players, they'll see it as a massive opportunity to show Van Gaal what they can do, ready for the new season with United, or a decent loan somewhere.
Maybe we should play our youngsters as well if ours will be eager to impress. Not sure you could describe yesterday's lot as eager.
Team of willing eager players willing to impress with commitment & fitness, hoping to retain a contract & play next season in the premier league Vs our millionaires ...
I'd play the players that got us to the PL in the first place, it might be their last game at this level, at least they'd go out there and put some pride back in the shirt.
If we are effectively down by then, I'd want to see a few different faces get a chance against Man Utd. The clubmen who got us here, Maguire if it's possible with the loan rules and maybe a youngster or two (never gonna happen though).
I can't see Bruce changing it much against Spurs, I think he will pick Dawson, Huddlestone and Livermore in the hope they have a point to prove playing against their former club. I personally hope he does'nt.
I cant be arsed to start a new thread....but Guard of Honour... what the **** is that all about? Why should Liverpool have to clap the opposition just because the fixture computer has come out with them as the their 36th tie of the season. ****ing ****. They should have just gone to the centre of the field waiting to shake hands.I would have been furious with our players had they taken part in such pantomime.
I wonder if jake celebrates if he scores this time! It's one of the many things I dislike about modern football.
Utd were lucky to win at Palace so LVG may well mix n match. We need to turn up first of all otherwise it could be Tranmere Rovers and we would still lose.
having supported city since 1965, i could have predicted saturdays outcome, we never beat teams below us, teams who have lost the past 12 games, teams who are doomed, that comes with being a city fan. i was hurting on saturday night like most of us, but this morning the sun’s shining, it’s a new week, and suddenly i feel a degree of optimism. i honestly believe we can go to tottenham and win, and if it does go to the final game, its **** or bust. ok, you might think, he’s had a cheeky gin or two, but i haven’t, i just feel there is a glimmer of hope. last weekend every result went against us, five days from now it could be a different picture all together. keep the faith, and lets back the team and bruce until all hope has gone.
We're down folks. Better start preparing your heads for it or the last couple of games are going to be even more torturous. The positive thing is Bruce is a very good manager at Championship level and I reckon he will get us back up.
