There always seems to be excuses for Ramsey's poor results and poor performance. Lots of if's, but's and maybe's. Bad luck, injuries, last minute goals, all the other teams winning. The list goes on and on. I seem to remember Zamora and Austin playing together under Redknapp quite a lot last season and there wasn't so much hoof ball. Why do you think that was? Even earlier this season, we didn't just lump it up to Bobby and hope for the best.

All I said was there is no point in hoping for better football if Ramsey was appointed because to date, not only has the football got worse, so have the results. They are the facts, not my personal wish list of what I hope Ramsey might/might not achieve.

I think people are posting on an empty head if they think Paul Clement is going to swap Real Madrid for QPR. If he does leave them it won't be to come to us. Not now anyway.

As for those on here who didn't want Ramsey, what were the options? The other touted about so-called better replacements ( Pulis,Sherwood, Pardew?) were already in-situ at other clubs and it was Sherwood that turned us down so I'm led to believe.

Ramsey was given a hospital pass when he took over as manager and all though he's made mistakes there wasn't a lot else available and there won't be next season either.

If it were my choice I would go all out for Karl Robinson.

I think you've missed the point almost entirely, By the way it was Wolves not Doncaster who went up with Brentford and Rotherham. By your criteria, experience and knowledge of the players available in the lower leagues, surely Kenny Jackett is just as good a gamble as Warburton? No? I thought not.

Also I did not realise that you spend all your time watching our youth team. You talk as though you've been studying them intently. None of us claim to know much about them as they did not get a look in for the last 4 years. Perhaps you'd care to give us an analysis of each one's respective qualities strength and weakness. Something to watch out for those of us who don't know yet.

You don't need to watch our youth team to know that they play at a low standard and aren't outstanding even there.

Don't think I have missed the point because otherwise you would have pointed out how rather than saying that.

Doncaster was in my head because of what happened the year before with them and Brentford. But you can add them and Wolves to the list Warburton far out performed. Wolves even more impressively so.

Actually as for Jackett he 100% is a sensible option and I suggested him pre xmas. He has ties to the club and has done a good job wherever he has been and got experience with Wolves with turfing out high earners and putting a new team together.

Having said that Warburton is best candidate for the job.

Seems CR positives are he is here... and he is not Redknapp.

If he did not happen to be here and done this same job elsewhere. We without doubt wouldn't consider taking him so obviously conclusion is we shouldn't consider taking him.

Continuity is not a positive in itself!!!

Get the right man in then you can look for continuity. We need to find our Alex Ferguson. CR is our Ron Atkinson

You're right to point out CR's inexperience and inadequacies, Finglas, but there is still the issue: we are a club facing a £55m fine and a transfer embargo. What manager of worth, be it a Clement or a Warburton, will take a job on that basis? At the least, they'd want the legal issues resolved so they knew what they were letting themselves on and the resources to be afforded to them

Goldie, the simple fact is Ramsey shouldn't have been appointed in the first place. If we survived, the financial implications of FPP wouldn't be an issue. TF gambled and lost, big time.

TF has been gambling and losing for 4 years. So far he and his pals have lost over £250m. They gambled and lost in the January window 2 years ago. Perhaps they have learned their lesson and decided to stop gambling, cap their losses, take this year's TV money and the parachute payments and say 'enough is enough'.

Agree, and you may be one of those who said so at the time. I couldn't call it, but I've learned it with hindsight! But given our unenvious situation, isn't he the only game in town? Or should we wait for a FFP resolution which could take many months ( possibly with, say, Les Ferdinand standing in as acting manager) and then appoint a permanent manager? Those seem to be the only two options, unless TF can persuade another manager to come in with an open-ended conflict with the Football League ongoing.

Relegation was the result when they spent big as well. The club is rotten to the core, radical and brutal change required, will take several seasons.

Yes the club is rotten to the core. We now have the old pals act of people appointing their buddies to positions they are not qualified for.

Sorry that I sat on the fence too long with the vote - after today's performance we really need to clean house.
