McGregor will stay - too error prone, although I think we should give Mark Oxley a chance with the No.1 shirt next year! Huddlestone, Livermore, N'Doye, Hernandez can all be pushed out of the door for all I care - no fight and no passion for the club. Robertson, Chester, Jelavic and Elmo will probably find other clubs - Chester has been in demand by PL clubs for years! I'd include Brady in that but I think he'll stick around Need to build a team around the gritty players we have - most of which were good enough to beat the majority of Championship teams, and time for Brucey to show loyalty to the players who give 150% to the cause! People seem to forget Joe Dudgeon is still a Hull City player too! Oxley Rosey -- Dawson -- Macca -- Robertson/Dudgeon/Clark Snodgrass -- Meyler -- Quinn -- Brady Ter Horst? -- Aluko Rest of Squad - McGregor, Alex Bruce, Elmo?, Chester?, Lenihan...
Good post, summed it up pretty well. I'd say we need to sign a goalkeeper not promote Oxley though. Your forgetting Maguire as well, he'd be an asset in the championship.
If AA had the balls to say no one leaves then if we did manage to bounce straight back we'd be in a better position then when we last came up! If you look at the stats most newly promoted teams are favourites to go back down because they have to recruit! But I think we've got a good team who aren't one of the three worst teams in the division, we've had some bad luck that's all.
We wouldn't want them all to stay though - you've got to remember many of these players weren't up for playing the likes of Burnley and Leicester. Can you imagine the likes of Huddlestone fancying a game on a cold Tuesday night in Rotherham?
Yep, no big teams to get up against in the Championship. Mind you Meyler did decently in the Championship yet only seems to get up for the big teams in the PL. Go figure.
Are we writing Harper off because of his age? He hasn't yet made an announcement on his future and I'm sorry, he might be 40, but he's a vastly superior keeper than McGregor. Actually I feel this has been SB's biggest **** up this season, why did it take him so long to see Harper was our No1 when many of us could see it ages ago? We'd have at least six more points than we do now, with Harps in goal.
Appears to be one of SB faults he show's to much loyalty to player's no matter how poorly they are preforming.
Yep, there's no way Livermore for example, would have played so many games, had he not cost us £8m. £8m, oh my ****ing god
I'll put my tin hat on but and I know prozzy didn't score goals but did he get the same run of games as Huddlestone and livermore, has Hernandez or ince?
