That might be pushing it. Ok you'll probably survive relegation now but like us you're still a piss poor team.

I did say "could, just could".

And we aren't great, thats for sure. But we've found some form and I was just suggesting reasons why we could get a couple of results.

Yep. That's what we thought after wins against palace and Liverpool but it turn out the other teams were on the beach just like Everton yesterday

Oh yes, one of many. Premier League is such a bad standard now. People still say it's the best league in the world. It's delusional. It's a **** league. Full of **** teams.

Hull's problem was thought you thought you were heading for the beach and had already bought the beachwear.

Then it all went wrong ...... now it looks like you've missed your flight <laugh>

Anyone thinking Everton were on the beach yesterday must be thinking of Dunkirk.

Anyone can still go down, between us, Newcastle, Leicester & Hull with only 3 points between the 4 teams. Hull, despite being in the biggest danger, have the best goal difference which could be interesting. By a strange quirk of fate QPR could have a big influence with Newcastle then Leicester to play and 6 vital points at stake. Everyone on the planet has written off the chances of Sunderland taking any points from the last 2 games, let's hope the manager & players haven't.

There are theories that Spurs & Man Utd will 'fix the results' against Hull for various reasons. It's said that Spurs will throw their match to avoid Europe and United will be handing Bruce & Phelan 3 points to stay up and act as a surrogate club for their loan players. I can't see that happening, LVG won't be thinking too much about Hull and would Man Utd really want their kids involved with the likes of Elmo, Meyler, etc?

    Leicester 36 -13 37
    Sunderland 35 -20 36
    Newcastle 36 -24 36
    Hull 36 -16 34
    Burnley 36 -26 29
    QPR 36 - 28 27

    This was May 1st,

    Newcastle 34 -21 35
    Hull 34 -13 34
    Aston Villa 34 -22 32
    Leicester 34 -18 31
    Sunderland 33 -23 30
    QPR 34 -21 27
    Burnley 34 -26 26

    LEICESTER - 37 POINTS
    Sunderland
    (Away) - May 16
    QPR (Home) - May 24

    SUNDERLAND - 36 POINTS
    Leicester
    (Home) - May 16
    Arsenal (Away) - May 20
    Chelsea (Away) - May 24

    Newcastle - 36 POINTS
    QPR (Away) - May 16
West Ham (Home) - May 24

    HULL - 34 POINTS

We'll be needing some of that spirit over the next 2 games.

Despite having by far the toughest fixtures Sunderland's coach is obviously streets ahead of Carver and Bruce. On current form 1 point from the next 2 games isn't impossible but the fixtures are by far the worst of the 3 relegation candidates. The table, from the start of the month, shows how the form of Hull, Newcastle & Sunderland has been. It's quite possible all 3 teams will lose their games but, if we stay up, I'd like it to be with our own good results.

Newcastle have enough good players to beat West Ham but I just don't believe they have that spirit. Having said that I don't think Hull can possibly outscore Man Utd having just lost their last 3 games and only managed 1 goal ...... that was when Arsenal had already won the game and put their feet up. I can only see Hull & Newcastle managing a draw at best.

Looks like Hull for the drop.

    Sunderland 36 -20 37
    Newcastle 37 -25 36
    Hull 37 -18 34

    May 1st,

    Newcastle 34 -21 35
    Hull 34 -13 34
    Aston Villa 34 -22 32
    Leicester 34 -18 31
    Sunderland 33 -23 30
    QPR 34 -21 27
    Burnley 34 -26 26

    SUNDERLAND - 37 POINTS
    Arsenal (Away) - May 20
    Chelsea (Away) - May 24

    Newcastle - 36 POINTS
West Ham (Home) - May 24

    HULL - 34 POINTS
Man United (Home) - May 24

Its too close to call, Chelski will be a hornets nest on Sunday after last night, Fabregas what a t**t, so we must get a point at the Emirates to save our own skin imo, relying on WH or MU is a dangerous call, but we may not have any choice other than to get out the prayer mats. If we survive by our own efforts, we have certainly done it against the odds and to my mind outdone even last seasons great escape, as the goal posts have been moving every weekend since Xmas, what a league this is.

Sam Allardyce: I’ve got no sympathy for Newcastle

    http://www.sunderlandecho.com/sport...-i-ve-got-no-sympathy-for-newcastle-1-7265922

Hammers manager Allardyce says his old club’s predicament has been the talk of his dressing room, as West Ham duo Kevin Nolan and Andy Carroll were in the Newcastle side which was relegated six years ago.

“It’s been talked about in the dressing room with me, Kevin and Andy,” said Allardyce.

“It’s about trying to win there for the benefit of ourselves and the justification for everybody else in terms of who are fighting that relegation battle. We have to try and do our very best."

“You can’t show any sympathy for anybody, because nobody shows any sympathy for you.”

If Sunderland have any sense they'll have approached Sam, about the job, and make it clear they'll pay him huge money if Sunderland stay up and he becomes manager ......... then appoint Moyes in the close season <laugh>

I've seen a thousand like you who are always keen to puff their chests out on threads after the event.

You were shyteing your pants at the point I first posted and only surfaced when you started winning.

I remember Blackpool, Portsmouth, Barnsley, etc doing the same thing.

Leicester are 4 points off a relegation place and could finish even closer ........... no room to get too cocky just yet <ok>

Now now... don't get all hissy ... just messing with you ... although I would just say that I've been posting throughout the event ... and hopefully with complete honesty ... thought we'd come up just short, despite having played remarkably well even in games that we lost ...

I'm not ..... it was just a prediction, like thousands on here, and nowt to get 'hissy' about.

It was my opinion and will probably carry over to when Leicester suffer from second season syndrome <ok>
