Unless results conspire against Chris Ramsey’s side on Saturday afternoon, anything but three points in Manchester will confirm Rangers relegation to the Football League. Rangers know their task, whilst their opponents City have only pride to play for after Chelsea secured the Premier League title last weekend against Crystal Palace. Samir Nasri will miss Sunday's match having been ruled out for the rest of the season after the Frenchman pulled up with a groin injury soon after coming off the bench against Tottenham last week. City captain Vincent Kompany (groin) and midfielder Yaya Toure (hamstring) are both fit to return after lay-offs. QPR meanwhile have something of a selection headache, especially in defence. Former Man City Academy graduate Nedum Onuoha is suspended for the trip following his red card against Liverpool whilst Mauricio Isla (knee), Steven Caulker (hand) and Clint Hill (hamstring) are all doubts. Fellow centre-back Rio Ferdinand will not travel following the recent passing of his wife. please log in to view this image Possible Starting Xl's please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image Manchester City win: 2/9 Draw: 11/2 QPR win: 11/1 please log in to view this image QPR 2, Manchester City 2 – Premier League – Saturday 8th November 2014 Scorers: QPR – Austin, own goal; WBA – Aguero (2) please log in to view this image Manchester City wins: 22 Draws: 17 QPR wins: 12 please log in to view this image Referee: M Dean Assistant Manager: J Brooks & S Long Fourth Official: M Jones please log in to view this image
Thanks 999s fantastic as usual....your team sheet reiterates exactly what I have been wittering on for days about... We have been left with a squad desperately short in number (as well as ability!!!) The civil war between Arry and TF did for us....and for Ramsey....and if a transfer embargo cuts in....for our team for years to come.
If we can't find a centre back, I'd move Henry back there. I'd move Fer into central mid and stick a Taarabt/Vargas/Zarate in behind (depending on who has mustered up a few training appearances this week). There defence is a bit patchy (pot - kettle) without Kompany and hopefully they'll rest 18 players or so.
Every body has us relegated already, bookies, managers players fans... So we have absolutely nothing to lose. Give it a go today, see what happens. The worst that can happen is people will say told you so. I can take that.
Bit sparse on the bench but the cracks have been papered over pretty well. Injury crisis? What injury crisis?
Whatever TV feed they have connected to in Thailand have us in 3 2 2 1 2 with Dunne, Hill and Caulker the back 3, Phillips and Yun the back 2 Barton and Henry in front of them, Fer between them and the front 2 as normal.
