Aluko is under contract and unlikely to be in demand from other clubs. He's one of the most likely players to still be around as August ends. And Brucey loves him.

He'd be lucky, no clubs going to sign him until they see if he can get back to his former ability.

When playing he was the best in the league, closely followed by that Tom Ince kid. We should look at getting him.

Huddlestone will get murdered in the championship, we saw an example of it yesterday, championship midfielder's will be all over him like a rash week in week out.

Nah I doubt it because Tickles would've been straight on here telling us how he's best mates with our Scottish contingent.

I think some people are confusing what they'd like to happen with what others think will happen.

I don't think he'll be any better than he is now. He's lost confidence and doesn't have the right attitude. Even if he comes good again, he'll never be a striker. He can't finish, and he's knocked off the ball way too easily. Get him on the wing or not at all.

Agreed, but that doesn't mean we have to play him, or that we can't sign some proper strikers.

He was good but over-rated. Said it at the time. Ince and Zaha were the best players in the league - although the latter never played well against City. Aluko was nowhere near as good as them two.

I know, but he was wrong. Ince scored something like 20 goals that season playing on the wing in an average side.

I suppose it's a matter of opinion, but yeah almost everybody would agree that we now have two of the top 3/4 from that season

This does my head in. Of course they would. Because completely ruining the football experience to the point that some of our most loyal fans will stop going is far more important to people than just throwing a load of money at it. Money shouldn't buy people's affection.

So hang on, he is forgiven all transgressions because of one nicety? Didn't realise that I was absolved of shop lifting if I walked an old lady across the road.
