On Scottish independence I never understood why the referendum was in Scotland only when if there had been a yes vote we would all have been affected.

I understand fully why only Scottish got to vote on leaving the UK. So I hope the Scottish understand me where I say we need a referendum to chuck them out of the UK, and this time they don't get to vote.
I argued for what I believe in. The electorate proved themselves to be predictable. They gave all the credit for the last 5 years to the Tories (despite the most popular and successful policies being the Lib Dem ones) and bought all that hate filled hypocritical bollocks from the media and the Labour party Now the Tories will change the boundaries which will lock Labour out of power for generations. No the electorate realised how the Liberals sold themselves to get power at any cost, the only predictable thing is that you are still trying flog this dead horse! People aren't stupid, they can see what is on offer, and they turned down the liberals as they have no real hope of doing anything, losing almost 50 seats shows that the electorate had enough of the bullshit by them.
Just an observation here! Over 70% of the British people did NOT vote Tory? just a little detail that gives some perspective. There are winds of change in the air, and regardless of the Tories in power, they are now seen as the party of the Devil himself, most of the country did not vote for this despicable band of Irish bandits, and already before the dust has settled we see anti-austerity protests in London and Cardiff, yet just wait until the Grexit, which is just around the corner and the fall out across Europe will provide the financial backdrop for even further unrest, we are going into unchartered waters these next 5 years, and Cameron will have wished he had never had won that small majority...................
Labour should take comfort from the fact that the Tory Scum will almost certainly mess things up at some point, all governments do. The sheer quantity of funny money swilling round the global economy means that a second financial crisis is lurking out there somewhere. But it needs to be ready when opportunity knocks. The City of London liked the Tory Victory, but will they like Britain leaving Europe? Will the voters like what the Tory Scum negotiate over Europe? and then there is little old Greece...................
I fear a backlash from anti tory demonstrators and i think this is nothing yet, The Tories have to be very careful on how they make these proposed cut backs because it could spark the biggest riot we have ever seen in the UK.......It may seem odd but they now find themselves in a much weaker position than they were in a coalition with the Lib dems
Phil - as the rules stand currently, the Tories won the election by securing a majority of the seats. The majority of the constituencies in the UK elected a Conservative to be their MP - like it or not that is democracy. Yes, they only secured 36% or so of the popular vote! but that is more than any other Party, and if there is going to be another financial crisis lurking out there, I would prefer Osborne and the Tories in charge of the Treasury rather than risk another Labour "Balls-up".
not me..Any other party i could stomach but not a party that dont give a **** about anyone else but themselves.....i cant see them lasting 1 year let alone 5 years the way the whole country is feeling right now....
